This Brazilian side won copa America without Neymar.

Argentina without Messi is a terrible team. The results show that

Thank u o. They even did it without drawing or loosing

The only nervy moment Maduka had was picking that back pass. Overall he did the Simple things well. Even Dosu Joseph credited his performance on Brilla Fm

Agu the HOD of the department of carpentry, University of Eagles, Nigeria? Bros I thought u went for a thanksgiving last 3weeks that u quited taking Local Gin (ekpeteshi, sapele water)?

Which kind carpenter? You guys have very short memory. Agu was impressive the few time he played for us after injury and club issues limited his invitation...Agu is a more polished player...more polished ,my nigga! When I assess a player I critique every aspect of his play including but not limited to his PASSING abilities...PASSING is very key to me unlike you guys. I love players that play beautiful passing game. Ndidi can't string passes and that's a problem for me. I prefer good positional play to cut off spaces to tackling players. I love good flowing football and Ndidi can't give me that.

By the way, do I sound like I drink kaikai....bring the ganja ,occasionally.

Iwobi needs competition in the no 10 role so without mincing words Eze is needed.

Onuachu needs to make way for akpom and co.

Aribo is exactly what the team hv lacked for a very long time. The boy is good and confident as well cus it takes a player with high level of confidence to score the goal he got today and also to assimilate into a new team with so much ease. I don't see him as a compete product yet but I am confident he will reach the heights in no distance time.

Lucque:
For me.:
Dennis was on for abt 25-30mins but didnt make one reasonable cross into d centre. ... Isnt he supposed to be a winger??

Onuachu don try... Make we find someone else.

We need another creative midfielder... So maybe we should start a campaign to get eze.

Aribo is a very very gud player... Ppl here are saying dat he faded in d second half... My question to them is how do you play well without d ball??.. make una de use una head o....

His handling was very good in my opinion. Hopefully we get to see more of him.

By the time, he came on, we had already stabilized the game.

Yes, just because Ndidi plays in a better club don't mean a thing. Agu is a more intelligent DM... And, Ndidi is not world class. Ndidi has a very long way to world class.

Oshey class teacher!
If you don't like a player it's okay to come open with it. You want to compare someone who is a bit part player in a Turkish club with one of the first names on the Leicester city team sheet. You must not always have your favourites in the team oga. Ndidi's stats speaks for itself. Plus pull out the stats of your intelligence players let's compare. Or else drink water and let's hear word biko

This is the first time, we are playing an elite team in a long time
.
This Brazilian side trashed everyone to win Copa America without Neymar. No draws, no losses.

We had the right balance in the first half but invited pressure by conceding early in the second.

Ndidi was more than decent. He held his own against top class midfielders. Same as aribo who plays in a lowly rated Scottish top flight as the wailing wailers say here always.

The only missing link was Iwobi who had a poor game but I won't hold that against him because even world class players do have bad games.
Olulong:
The Ndidi I saw in this game was descent. I mean we played against a Midfield of Arthur, Casemiro and Coutinho. Someone is even saying Mikel Agu and Azubuike will do a good job. Same Mikel Agu that looked out of sort against Zambia during our world cup qualifier. SMH

Overall the players did well bar iwobi who was below par and as for Onuachu.... Lemme not talk

Exactly.. I think Nigerians love players that caress the ball and waste 20 secs before giving the obvious pass

even caressing the ball sef na problem, ask pogba. Nigerians want ndidi to chase the ball throughout the match, they want him to be everywhere at the same time. lol, they want to kill him at a young age.

There is this saying that "A prophet is not appreciated in his own village".

hope I got it right.lol

Even if you convert or use any of the wingers as striker, same thing would happen. Onuachu was all over the place trying to make an impact. If the ball doesn’t get to him from his midfielders, how would he perform? He made one faulty and disappointing pass then spend the rest of the time running back to defend or chasing balls that he shouldn’t run after.

The Eagles played well but they were lucky. They were caught off guard lots of times. A much better team would’ve capitalised in the weakness in our left full back to do them harm.

Awaziem, Ajayi, Ndidi, Ekong and Chukwueze played their hearts out. Awaziem especially showed courage, strength and intelligence. He wasn’t intimidated, he dispossessed the Brazilians effortlessly and his positioning was very good.

Nigeria lacks quality in the midfield. Apart from Ndidi and maybe Aribo, the rest are just there because there are no serious competitions. Iwobi can be very annoying.

Lucky on a couple of occasions, true. But comfortably enough marshalled the Brazilians once they threatened the 18yard box.

A much better team?! This is Brazil we were playing mate! Which much better team would you be referring to?

Our overall performance demonstrated growing maturity in defence and better understanding on the break. The more confident we become in our speed of transition from defence to attack the more patient we can be in the tighter games. Had we lost this game this conclusion would still have stood.

If there are people here who didn't see the importance of Ndidi in this game, my take is that you think football is only about what you do with it.

Ndidi cut out many passing lanes and was a wall too tough to break through for the Brazilians. He acquitted himself brilliantly positionally and was the pivot on which our defensive balance and tactical discipline hung. His first half display was world class. Only keen analysts will spot the way he shielded the back four by always blocking off passing options for Brazil's advanced midfielders and tracking them with good pressings.

Yes, he did venture forward a few times and gave the ball away twice but his overall defensive discipline and ability to keep the passes simple was key to our transition as Aribo always took over from plays thereon.

Ndidi was one of our top players today. Not Top 3. But he certainly was a reason we shut out the Brazilians.

Truth is had the KOC been complete today... with Samuel Kalu on show.. I have no doubt in my mind that we would have witnessed an easy win for Nigeria. No hypes.

one key thing i noticed from ndidi and aribo's combo was the fluidity in movement and understanding.

ndidi strives more when he is not choked in his space. he indirectly was a single man defensive shield and that's where his best comes out.

aribo moving to and fro affords ndidi enough space while the latter's movement also helped out in attack and defense.

for now i think their partnership should be continued in subsequent matches.

I've been saying this for ages

Etebo always intrudes into Ndidi's space and it's not like he's much of a creator

Joe Aribo... Joe Aribo... Joe Aribo...

I laugh when I recall some neighbors of mine telling me after that Ukraine game that there is no way Aribo will bench one of Etebo or Ndidi.

My people... Better rejoice because in Aribo we have the complete CM. I don't need to write an epistle about this. The lad is Gold. Would give you effortless transitions in our midfield plays, would defend and Mark for you, would spray the passes too, a true ball carrier, a good ball retainer when necessary and a box to box demon!

Aribo will score several goals for Nigeria. He is the truth!

Onuachu reminds me of Bartholomew Ogbeche and his inclusion into the 2002 WC squad.

He scored a great goal against Egypt and we were deceived easily. Now, we know better.

Although, I'm not sold on Akpom.

Dennis..... Hmmmm. I didn't expect much from him tbh. So, I'm not really surprised.

Simon Moses, Chukwueze and Osimhen would have made most re impact if Iwobi had connected the CM with the attack well.

All in all, we tried but I won't get carried away. It was a friendly and some Brazilian players may have not been giving their best to prevent injuries
