Google map is accurate

Google maps is accurate but if you happen to find yourself in Surulere, Ajegunle and the likes, always ask your rider for directions because Google map will take you round and round when just a simple, short straight road will link you to where you need to be...

Speaking from experience.. angry

True and it is same everywhere
Google map works with landmark and notable areas, if the area is not a well know place, it is better to ask for directions around.

This thread has turned my family ever since I started driving on the ehailing platform about 3 years ago. My advice to newbies; read this thread from page one to the current page for indept knowledge about this business. This thread is the Holy Grail to successfully driving on the ehailing platform because this is where you'll know what's hot and what's not.

Though I have always been the silent observer, I won't hesitate to give honor and recommendations where due. I have seen the Era of the likes of ogunvic and his pal (I have forgotten his moniker but I know him for his overdose on sarcasm) Then the baba and one of the legend of this thread, Baba Gazzuzzzz himself (you deserve more that 3 'z' in your moniker.

All I just want to say is, you guys are incredible. Please don't stop sharing your experiences as I have gained a lot from every contribution made here. God bless our hustles.

One more thing, ALWAYS COMMIT YOUR DAY TO THE LORD BEFORE YOU HIT THE ROAD.

Have a fruitful money making week guys and stay safe.
I'm out. wink wink wink

I don’t know why, but now I’m enjoying the platforms because I now choose when to drive.
Those bonuses are like rat race, no one wins it. And some strategy and idea a driver has may reduce his performance and income. For new drivers:

Eg:

1-You know all those drivers you met at inspection, that told you night driving would give more money cos there will be surge .... lmao! Na lié.

Spoilers: for a surge to happen , there must be a higher demand than supply. And at night , trust me , runz girls and party guys no reach drivers wey wan hustle. You’ll end up being tired , and less active when needed.

2- Chasng surge ; I know they told us all that surge is sweet and happens when drivers are not in a particular area.

Spoilers: yes it may be so, but with the massive pool of drivers , is rare not to have drivers in a place that will amount to very high surge . Surge usually happens when issues like traffic , flooding , or a very non motorable area has requests which may have stopped drivers from reaching there. It is a good way to make extra money , but keep all these in mind. No run from bicycle come Jan trailer abeg.

3- asking for ratings: I know they told you to request for rating right? My idea is , offer a good service , regardless of whom you’re serving. Trust me, not all will still like u, but yes , some will. Hopefully they remember to rate u.

Spoilers: people find it easier to give bad ratings than good. So just do yours and leave the rest.

And above all, remember when u were in your car sleeping , waiting for night rides, someone is in his house sleeping. And in the morning , when people are really “surging” out. With those headaches u have , that person that rested will have a better chance of cashing out the next day more than u....

Best of luck .

Real talk boss, the only time I sleep in the car is when I have serious bonus to catch up with or going to take break the next the and I find myself on the island, won't stress if I don't have trip back, I'll just wait till morning.

Can't remember the last time I ask a rider for rating and one of those things I've notice taxify do rate one as well.

I don't deliberately chase surge, if I find myself in Ikoyi, I smile cos I know dats zone for short trips.

Bros me... Me sef na semi JJC, have been to Abj several times but I don't know must of the routes. However, I believe GPS Navigator can come in handy.

Besides, I have wanted to ask the gray haired elders in the trade, please which Navigation App is most accurate for JJCs like me. So that I can navigate without making a rider feel bad, as I know some riders may get weird attitudes if one doesn't know their way around town.

Google map is the better option (learning the road along the way is the best ).

Wade is confusing , not developed for this part of the world. It can sometimes tell u to walk through a fence! Cos it’s not updated .

Iphone maps is not 100 updated for driving routes.

I will agree with that good man that advised you to buy big daddy instead of Lexus. My reason: I've seen many big daddies on the platform but I hardly see E330, there must be a reason for that
P.S. I drive a big daddy myself and I'm enjoying it. Just don't buy an abused car and you'll be okay

22k + 3,250 bonus
Started work around 9a.m and closed at 10.30pm!

Not easy running after taxifys bonus

Dear poster, if you aim to have offline trips, a Lexus IS better. And even more if it’s RX ... offline trips sha. But for day to day Uber, I’m not sure ES can , If fuel is ok, what about maintenance?

Not only them, mymotong as well. This one is so annoying, he did install a tracker in my car, the tracker failed. I kept calling him for rectification, he stopped taking my calls and didn't reply my WhatsApp message ever again.

Please be careful dealing with him as i had to get another Tracker installed in my car.
