The supersports commentators today were piss poor. The guy said the team had to take it easy because they had to play Togo in a CHAN qualifier grin

Aribo: Talent. What a class act he's turning out to be. 2 caps and 2 goals. Excellent!

Swears this Brazilian team is definition of world class believe it or not there were clearly the better side they dominated us... They've strong telepathic understanding you can see this in Arthur and Jesus our boys managed against them we could have scored more goals had it been iwobi drives us forward but anyways sha this team is gradually getting there they jex need understanding and have a very good bench we missed the absence of Kali today
Maduka okoye (fine boy) the guy is composed especially playing against a team like a Brazil most of the shot played (mostly blocked) I noticed he went the wrong way had it been it was on target it would have been a goal...never the less I'm greatly impressed with the way he took care of the corner kicks I wish to see him more of him in subsequent friendly
The backroom staff, coaches I give them kudos... They saw the weakness of Brazil and use it against them... They deserves some accolades same with the players... Who noticed when Ramon azeez came in the midfield was stronger than when iwobi was playing had it been osihmen was still playing we could have equalize... Iwobi was our weakest link today... Ndidi covered the defense as usual... Without prejudice aribo covered the defense a few time not as much a Ndidi .... Ndidi really tried today
Lastly I've to give Collins the accolades of shouting jesus down... Jesus was an hungry tiger ready to feast on our defense though he started lowly but lerra on pocketed him. . he really tried

Glasgow Rangers midfielder Joe Aribo is fast becoming a proven goalscorer for the Super Eagles after netting his second international goal against Brazil.

The 23-year-old, who was making his second appearance appearance for the West African side, broke the deadlock in the 35th minute after an eye-catching movement in the Selecao's box.

His goal against Brazil made it two goals in two matches and Rangers assistant coach Michael Beale was happy with the player's goalscoring display against the star-studded Brazilians.

In his tweet, he praised the midfielder for his outstanding goal against Tite's men and he was glad to see the player extend his bright start to his international career.

"Outstanding @J_Aribo19 ⚽️ two goals in two games for the national team " he wrote on his Twitter account.

As for Rangers, they were impressed with the way Aribo scored the goal despite the number of Brazil players in the box.

They wrote on their official Twitter account: " A brilliant goal by @J_Aribo19 for @NGSuperEagles against Brazil."

It took Aribo just four minutes to open his goalscoring account for the Super Eagles during his debut against Ukraine in last month's friendly encounter.

He will hope to continue his goal streak when the team face Benin Republic and Lesotho in AFCON 2021 qualifiers scheduled to take place in November.

Uzoho is a very good goalkeeper. He's got real potential! Unfortunately black goalkeepers are generally underrated. The guy needs a top class structure like a top club side to bring out the very best in him.

Every other person did their best.

You have a point

The best black GK is Steve madanda ,thou he plays for France

Former Super Eagles midfielder Mutiu Adepoju has hailed the team for their impressive performance in Sunday’s friendly 1-1 draw against five-time world champions, Brazil, reports Completesports.com.

Joe Aribo put the Super Eagles ahead in the first half before Casemiro levelled for the South Americans three minutes after the break.

Adepoju also believes the future is bright for the West Africans following their impressive performance in the game.

“Well-done brave @NGSuperEagles! This draw looks like a win and I believe this is a sign of good things to come for our senior national team. Also, there are lots of lessons to take home against Brazil and that is very important. #BRANGA ,”Adepoju tweeted.

The Super Eagles will now shift attention to next month’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixtures against Benin and Lesotho.

Gernot Rohr’s men came third at the 2019 AFCON finals in Egypt.

Heat of the moment. You better pour cold water on your head and remove that last team. Play them now and it's a sure loss. And then you will turn round to insult the players, even Aribo will not escape your mouth.

I am glad people are beginning to see the value of kalu since the ukraine game

Many people dont believe in him before

When they were subtly discarding him here I told them he's a better player than they think. Today their comments are changing.

All I need from Samuel Kalu is for him to continue improving. He's not the finished product I need, yet.

I was being matter of fact objective.

I didn't watch the whole match just from the 40th minute.

Did you see how many times Gabriel turned him inside out and left him for dead, he was completely out of his depth.

On the other hand Awaziem being the intelligent but very limited player he is didn't get disgraced but offered very little coming forward.

Ndidi was a beast in midfield... And he was the reason we were not over-run..

Iwobi was not doing anything defensively, ndidi was practically covering the whole spaces...

Baba if you know how to watch, analyze spaces and position in football, you would see that removing ndidi today, countinho, casemeiro would have skinned us today, ndidi pushed them to use the wings...

Baba I like as you didn't quote anybody with this comment. You just dropped it like a maths tutorial and left. I've told people on this thread that before you criticize or condemn a player understand what his job on the pitch is first. This job, of shielding the defence, Ndidi has continued to do perfectly across club and country. Thanks for this.

I don't think Samuel Kalu is improving

He's the same Samuel Kalu from his early Bordeaux days, good dribbling but poor end product

I think one of Ejuke, Lookman or Sheyi Ojo would replace him in the upcoming months

Isaac Success should be invited. He is strong and can also dribble.
I do also think both him and Etebo should return to Spain and Nacho to France.
We need both of them urgently in this current set up.
We have lost Musa Yahaya. We cannot allow Success and Nacho to waste.
For me Onachu does not fit our system. We need a very mobile forward like Success and Nacho!

Well played Super Eagles!
I was just imagining, what might have happened, having both Kalu and Etebo in this game.

What

Awaziem has been played as RB since AFCON. He still has no competition maybe until Ebuehi gets a good run of games in Europe.

It will be hard to drop Awaziem also.

Very limited indeed, how many centre backs have you seen play as makeshift right backs since Sergio Ramos played RB for Real Madrid and the Spanish national team ? It's not easy for a natural centre back to easily overlap. Awaziem is a centre back and not a right back, so don't expect him to be pacy and make overlapping runs

My impression after this match may be simple but unpopular. We need 2 good alternatives to our current crop of players for the following positions:

1) We need another number 9 to compliment Osimhen. I would go with Isaac success ( for speed, strength and hold up play). Onuachu is just too static for the kind of young players we have now. Currently our attack is centered on speed and mobility.

2) I also believe Iwobi needs competition in number 10. Ihenacho can be converted to an attacking midfielder for us (imagine ihenacho and Osimhen combination). Eberechi Ezeh is another name being floated. Azeez was not bad today but would need to be evaluated more.

In my opinion, we have a good compliment of players for the other positions. With good management we could become world beaters

You people clamoring for this guys, una dey watch ball so??

Or are you guys still living in the past??

Ekong tried to be inventive and gave the opposition the ball.
Moses simon not giving us anything in the attack added pressure on the left flank. Collins was always called to action won some, lost some. I think he is slow to react but manages to recover somehow.
Semi Ajayi put in a decent shift, nice job.
Awaziem good job.
Uzoho is still work in progress, he plays very safe, pushes balls he could have held. His reading of crosses still suspect.
Do Uzoho did not do enough to impress you?

think we might need chuba akpom then.... his work rate is impressive and moreover he is from arsenal youth systems he might be a good passer of the ball...
since nacho has refused to advise himself

IMO Akpom is not good enough.

He had multiple chances at EPL, Championship and was always found to be wanting.

That's why he left to Greece maybe he has improved, l don't know, is he the in the top 3 goal scorers in that league?? ❓
