The journey:

Special appreciation to God Almighty who made this a reality for us as a family. He came through for us when we had issues all around. I had not been promoted at work for 5years and it was depressing and demoralizing considering the amount of work I put into the job.

I want to use this opportunity to thank my sister: a mother and a friend who God used to open my eyes to this opportunity and was also ever ready to assist. You know I love you soooooo much and I am happy that you are landing before me!!!!!!

My husband, my hero, I cant love you less. You were a strong advocate of a better Nigeria until PMB broke the table and the hope seem frail. However, that made you buy into my Canada dream and you smashed IELTS once. Chaiiiiii, u made feel like olodo oooo but that was the challenge needed to push to success. Thank you so much

To my boys, thank you for your understanding. Those snacks and juice I deprived you of cos we needed to pay for one thing or the other, I'm sorry. However, we are all better for it. You will have plenty of it to eat and drink in Cannyland.

The Journey:
I got fed up with my job after I missed promotion twice back in 2018 ( its been 4 times now but I really do not care again) and then I gave myself 2 more years to get out of the organisation and move on. God heard my voice then and packaged something special for me. So in May 2018, my awesome sister told me about the Canada waka and told me then that she had already submitted all the documents required. I didnt take it serious until June 2018 when she sent me all the information I needed and 200dollars to process the credential evaluation. God bless you like never before.

I registered myself and hubby for ECA through WES and I had to evaluate my masters with university of Ibadan while hubby had to evaluate his certificate from university of ilorin. Unfortunately, our Nigerian universities showed themselves. University of ibadan refused to verify my transcript from July to October. I was told that the email address of a renowned school crashed and they cant access it. After 2 months of going back and forth, i sat down one hot afternoon and sent a well worded mail (this had a little of threat inside it) to the dean of Pgschool's personal email (got this from the internet).
He responded after 2hours stating that it will be looked into and 2days later, I got a mail from WES that my transcript has been verified. I got my report in November!!!!

Almighty IELTS was also a war to overcome but I overcame by the blood of the Lamb and the words of our testimonies. I must say that the exam is not a joke. I had to retake it 4times to unlearn the English I used to know and relearn. At the first attempt, I used all sorts of materials, anything that came my way was what I digested. He didnt came out well. Second time, writing and BC was waiting for me so I got 6.5 and remark came back unchanged having used ielts Liz and ielts advantage. I registered for the 4th attempt in Lagos and decided to try MOD. I got the MOD writing pack and began to study hard. I did all of cambridge 6-12 exercises and also registered for write and improve. Very lovely English writing site that assisted. Special thanks to wasseynewest who added me to WhatsApp groups where I was tutored by Busayomi, Fidelis and Jenny. You guys are the best. God bless you. I scaled the hurdle on this one.

During the process of waiting, I had been gathering all the documents needed for the process which made my submission effortless. I need to add that I went for medicals and PCC before I aced ielts. Medical was done on the March 21st which was also the same day for my speaking test. The bank I work with refused to give me a reference letter for so long but I didn't give up (if you sha wont promote me, you will give me reference), I got it after 2 months. Mr Samuel to the rescue for PCC, paid him 10k for myself and spouse and it was given to us 1hour later.

POF was 95% gift deed from my sister and that's why I call her my mother. She has been there for me from wayyyyy back. She transferred it to my gtb account with a gift deed and I had a treasury bill investment done via GTB ( crazy mistake- I'll tell you about it later). The remaining 5% was from a treasury bill with FBN and 25% pension fund ( GCMS showed that this was not even considered as part of POF).

Medicals was done at Qlife on the 21st of march 2019. Got to Lagos a day before and lodged at fountain hotel - 2 buildings after the hospital. Not a great place but conducive enough to sleep over night with family at 15k ( Jumia travel to the rescue). The day of the test, I asked hubby to go there and write name as early as 4am but he was murmuring and lamenting that it was too early. Fast forward to 5:30am, he finally complied and to his surprise, we were number 4 on the list ( the canada waka is real). He came back to the hotel and we went back by 8am for the examination. Plenty people wan leave this country oo. The reception was filled up and people still had to wait outside for space to be created inside (I must add that those people are making so much money oo). We were briefed on the procedure and what was expected of us. We paid #120,000 for a family of 4. My boy was busy speaking phonetics there such that the people waiting was amazed at the kind of jand English he speaks ( I love you darling and we are doing this for you and your brother. He is 3years but speaks good oral English). The staff were very nice and warm although we were not examined for free. We finished around 10am and immediately left for my speaking IELTS exam.

The 4th attempt for IELTS was a do or leave it attempt. I had prepared, prayed, fasted and paid money. At the speaking venue, my examiner was stuck in traffic and came very late. A test slated for 2pm started around 4pm, hubby and the kids had to wait in the car for hours while their mum battle it out. When they couldn't wait any more, they went for food at a chicken republic nearby. I didnt allow the stress to get to me as I walk towards the examiner, I knew what I wanted and was ready to give it my all . No retreat, No transfer!!!!!! On LRW exam day, omo see plenty people eeeee!!!!!! Kilode°°••••°°°•• and you know how lagosians can look all serious and nerdy (don't come for me oooo) .
I was kept in a big hall with microphones for listening. I almost did beat a guy who sat beside me; the guy had the habit of either pressing his knuckle to make sounds or beat the bottom of his pencil against the edge of the table just to remember things. During the reading test, this same guy was reading aloud and chewing gum..... chaiiiiiiii

CRS 466 was the bomb for me.... I was elated and me kuku enter pool like a fine girl that I am and gbam ITA arrived on the 1st of May 2019. Quickly checked and rechecked all documents and submitted my application on the 11th of May, 2019. I had little worries about my NOC fitting perfectly but the first 2 job description fits what I do at the moment so I was good with it. A week after, I started worrying about my NOC If i had enough years of experience considering that they switch your roles and nomenclature of the job role as they deem fit from time to time. Consulting various people like topmamen and Wizean made me worry more cos it seemed like I made the wrong choice based on their advice. So I slept and prayed over it and decided to raise CSE over the issue stating that I became qualified to work in any branch operation unit at 20XX so regardless of the NOC I choose, the number of years of experience is when I first became qualified/ trained.

Acknowledgement of receipt for the CSE came, so we move. June 20th, medical passed and request for biometrics. June 24th, biometrics completed. On July 20th, ghost update notification and I was very excited ppr is here but na lie ooo. My AOR friend told me to raise CSE to know my VO after the ghost update especially when he got to know that his VO is Accra. Paranoia is my second name so I didnt want to put too much mind to avoid sleepless nights. But by August 24th 2019, I decided to yield and request to know the VO through CSE and status of application through GCMS. The CSE response came and viola, its Ottawa.

Early morning of September 16th I got a request letter (ADR) concerning the GT bank treasury bill letter I submitted. The usual clause of investment erosion was a concern for the VO and I was asked to submit within 7days as my application was being concluded. I dashed over to GTbank in the morning to liquidate the investment and put back in my account. The bank ripped me off a huge chunk of my interest for an investment maturing this month. Story for another day. I printed my 6 months statement of account and submitted back 5days later. After submission, I didnt know what next to do or expect so I just waited for acknowledgement mail which never came but I got a ghost update on the 26th and the my additional document part changed to 'Not applicable".

On the 27th of September, I was on WhatsApp chatting with a friend and then slept off. I woke up around 11:23pm to check my children up in the room and as I picked up my phone, I got a notification from Gmail on my phone. Thinking its nothing serious so I can delete, I swiped down and there it was sitting pretty like moi " Final request - Ready for visa" mail ( I'm a very pretty lady oo with 2 kids ‍♂️‍♂️‍♂️). I ran to the sitting room where hubby is shouting and he was just looking at me cos he didnt really understand why I was screaming like that.

I couldn't catch my breath for 30minutes and I had to sit still for a while. I hope this isnt too long and boring. My dream finally came through for me and my family. Apologies for all the typo oooo.

Congratulations....I tap into your testimony

So registering another profile doesn't have any implications, even though my same details have existed in the first profile?

You should be fine. Go ahead and create a new account.

Good evening, will opening 2 CES ECA accounts, same name and details but different email addresses boomerang? I don't have the password of d one I created initially and their password recovery system isn't working.
I'm thinking of opening another account with another email and start my application, pay and get ECA with that.
Advice pls.

Create a new account.
Save your password this time or write it down somewhere, your security questions too. You don't want to get ITA and forget your password.

Dfavouredone:
Good afternoon,
Please I forgot my password to my profile and also the answer to the recovery question.
I have not gotten ITA as my score is still very low.
Now I have gotten a better IELTS score to boost CRS score but can't remember my password to edit my profile.
Can I abandon my first profile and just submit a new profile. Does submitting another profile have any implications.
Pls advise.
