Hello Good people,

Thanks for being here. My visa interview is on the 15th and I'm having difficulty getting my passport renewed. My passport is still valid till January next year but I learnt I must have 6 month validity before I will be let in for interview. Is this true? Please kindly advice me. I'm totally confused. Thanks

Yes. You are supposed to have a passport with at least 6 months validity to it's expiry.

Hian but politicians are living a good life in Nigeria, with all the freebies available to them like olosho, champagne, looting, budget padding, using constituency allowance to bring hoes from Russia, sleeping in Sheraton Abuja and lagos, driving the latest automobiles, free police escorts, properties in Abuja, Dubai and the western world, many bought second passport from different parts of the world, what else is living a good life if not the above

Secondly, to be a politician is the best career / pathways to live the good life in Nigeria, forget about oil and gas workers, bank and other multinational jobs, politics money dey sweet, even if you steal 100 billion naira in Nigeria, nothing go happen, hire 50 SANS, case will be buried while you sleep daily with champagne at Sheraton hotel = good life by Nigeria standard cheesy

Only politician live a good life in Nigeria ?

Thanks so much. This is exactly what I was told but then I'm seeing that Nigeria is one of the countries exempted from the Six-Month passport validity rule by the US embassy. I'm seriously hoping this is the case. I'm hoping to get more people to comment on this

Not true.... Go ahead with your interview, but ensure your passport is renewed before you travel.

They will acknowledge receipt of your email and if your administrative processing was positive, they will send you a mail to come to the embassy to pay the N49000 and submit your passport.

Do you know how long the administrative processing might take on an average? I received an acknowledgement email yesterday stating that my email has been forwarded to the appropriate department.

Search yourself well sir.... If you know the number of persons I interact with currently per different Embassies matters and what my unit and job description is like, I may then not be hurting you. The high and mighty also gets refused, yes, mostly because of their "over-sabi" and underrating of these Embassies. If you genuinely have the right ties and follow the application process judiciously, you will hardly get turned down barring any coded "scraw-scraw" however!

I honestly don't understand why your choice of word would be the bolded?! Or reason for this 'cypher'. My transcript was well detailed; if you'd like to indulge me, I would make out time to personally consult with you to evaluate my position. Patiently waiting your positive response.

Try travelling to more countries. That increases your chances. Only Egypt is not enough bro. And am speaking from experience. Go to Dubai and some other good asian countries. Make sure u have travelled to at least 3 good visa countries before u begin to think of American visa.

To be honest, this latest development will not deter those who know how to work the system. Once you're on American soil, the rules change. You have more rights than most are aware of. They cannot just deport you if you know what to do...... call an attorney immediately grin' even at the point of entry! Truth is, if you were issued a visa, you have a right to
•An exclusion hearing before a judge to determine your admissibility;
•An administrative appeal to the Board of Immigration Appeals;
•A judicial review or appeal of any, or all, of the above decisions.
This is why Mr Trump is determined to stop people setting foot on American soil in the first place. Even assylum seekers have rights as soon as they land. But if you're processing your case from outside the country, your options are severely limited.
But they would spend month ifnot years in immigration centre before an attorney can do anything... .....

Àti lọ Àti dé (we don go, we don come back).
My sister and i had our joint interview on Wednesday. Here's a transcript of how it went down...
VA: Where are you going in the United States?
Me: Texas
VA: What for?
Me: To spend my annual leave with my brother (who is a citizen) based on his invitation.
VA: Any medical plans?
Me: No
VA: What do you do?
Me: i am a program analyst in the Civil service (exact place withheld)
My sister: I'm a student
VA: Do any of you have kids?
Me & Sis: Nope.
(He closed the audio transmitter and had a lengthy discussion with a woman in the cubicle, think it took about 3 to 5 minutes)
VA: I'm sorry we can't grant your visa request bla bla bla...
Me: Thank you.
At a moment, it seemed he considered us cos the VA didn't even spend as much time with the applicants ahead of us (he denied them all) as he did with us.
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by groovychik(f): 8:18pm On Oct 12, 2019
You took the rejection well. There is something called a buddy system. If the woman was in the same cubicle during the interview, she is most likely a new VO and your interview was being used to teach her. People on this thread are not sadists, neither do they derive joy from people's rejection. If you are to go to US embassy, come correct. One might say "let me go try my luck". The try my luck of yesterday will negatively impact and reduce your chances when you finally have your shit together and try again. This is not particular to your case, just dropping it for those that know their chances are less than 10%, but intent on helping the US economy

It will be better for her to try and renew the US visiting visa in the UK if indeed she has a UK resident permit.

The chances of getting it approved is higher than if she applied from Nigeria.

If he is a resident and has a genuine reason to travel alongside ties to the UK, better in the UK.

Hello everyone.Thank you for your replies so far. I got married to a US Citizen in August. My wife Filed the I-i30 on September 24th. USCIS sent a NOA stating our petition is processing, also saying She should signup online to create an account on the USCIS site. My question is while we are waiting the petition been approved. Will I be granted a visitors visa to go visit for like 3weeks and come back? And how long will it most likely take to get approved? Thank you as I await your response.

Hi guys,
I'm done filling my Ds160 form—but have not signed and submit, I'm just reviewing and adjusting, since my appointment is by december.

Please house, i need your help and want to ask..

1. On the Education section, can i add both secondary and university degree or just uni.

2. On the date of attendance to, should i put the date of completion on my certificate(july 2016) or date of graduation, which says the degree was awarded ...(december 2017)..

3. On the additional information, that talks about clan or tribe, i hope it doesn't really matter. Must i add it—like yoruba tribe.

4. I have morethan one job, pls how do i add it.

5. The language that you speak aspect, is it just english or i can add my other language.

I know this may sound funny, which is why i really need your suggestion on this pls , I'm just trying to be careful, not because of now, but for the future. I don't want to add anything that will hurt me later in the future.
