Real Madrid's Brazil Star Casemiro Reveals What Impressed Him Most About Super Eagles Brazil are still searching for their first win after their Copa America triumph following their 1-1 draw with Nigeria in an international friendly in Singapore on Sunday, October 13. The five-time world champions avoided defeat when Real Madrid defensive midfielder Casemiro cancelled out a 35th minute opener from Glasgow Rangers star Joe Aribo. The Brazil number 5 was impressed with the physical qualities of the Nigeria players and believes they played a good second half against the three-time African champions after scoring the equaliser. ''Speaking of results, it is never favorable. When it comes to Brazil, we always want to seek victory,'' Casemiro was quoted as saying by TV Globo. ''But within what we were presenting, today the answer was very good. The second half was good, against a physically strong team. ''The result is not good, but no doubt the second half was good, yes.'' The Super Eagles will face Benin and Lesotho in Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers next month. Igho Kingsley |

komekn: We caused Brazil problems sometimes when we were on the counter. Generally, we were poor. We could not keep the ball, could not fight for it with intensity and relied a lot on individual performance to cause problems. We lacked team cohesion in our display too. Tactically as a unit, we really had nothing to offer. I am not flattered by the result when we parked the bus. When it comes to team performance, we were non existent. 1 Like |

komekn:you dont have truth in you at all. So the Brazilian were not going all out? I'm kinda tired of people trying so hard to wave off our team performance each time we put up a better shift, y'all easily switched to nonesence rhetoric. I'm sure you saw their jubilation from their bench the moment they scored, that should tell u they took the match serious. Please take your nonsense rhetoric off this page. It is nauseating. 3 Likes |

elyte89: We can not know how good our forwards are if we keep playing in negative fashion. In such situations where we are not playing with offensive intensity but sitting back and hoping to capitalise on mistakes, I hardly blame forwards in such set up. |

timay: Which shell am I coming out of? We were poor in that game. It is not about me or you or what we like. It is a fact. We need to improve on our strategy and tactics. An overhaul of our philosophy because the conservative system does not favour us and makes us look mediocre. I still believe we can cause lots of top teams problems if we adopt a more offensive strategy and build on it. Reduce the comfort of our opposition with the ball and attack spaces with pace when we win the ball. |
