My problem with all these issues are: 1. Election time people will not participate 2. Hatred for one another 3. Tribalism. When we say vote in credible people, you guys won't vote. Don't be surprise that if this same buhari should contest for the president seat come 2023, over 75% of the so-called literate will still vote him in. You don't vote in mediocrity and expect awesomeness. It's practically impossible. 4 Likes |

Absolutely nothing is working in this country but yet they keep taxing us here and there & no visible development in place. One wonders what they use the money for. Debts in trillions smh. I just wish we could all collectively do more instead of social media advocacy 2 Likes |

DON JAZZY WILL FIND ANSWERS TO HIS QUESTIONS BY LOOKING UP NORTH. Yes, the north. specifically northern Nigeria. These regions have a poorly managed birth control due to the fact that majority of northerners are blinded by religion to have the belief that Islam permits many wives and many children. While some are ignorant due to lack of education. Couple give birth to a lot of children beyond the constitutional 4 children per a couple. These over population problem that is very common with the northern region over-stretches the expenditure of the federal government making them incapacitated to provide social and welfare services to its citizenry. Meanwhile, northern Nigeria do not even contribute to the federation account. They take delight in spending resources of the south which they do not think of replenishing. 3 Likes |

What we are having right now is,the govt is taxing the poor to maintain the reckless lifestyles of the ruling class. The young ones who are struggling to make a living with petty businesses are being overtaxed,so the senators can earn millions weekly and maintain countless no of aides. There is increased hunger in the land and only a revolution will end it all. 1 Like |

The charges on POS is excessive. This country is in a mess. As a young man, you make efforts to establish something for yourself, but guess what? The government steps in to frustrate all your effort. What the hell is stampduty? and why do the charge #50 per transaction even after collecting their normal 0.75 on each transaction. Thats how i dumped my POS i brought 55k. Not funny enough,i have used it barely a month. 2 Likes 1 Share |

tot:You need to sow before you reap. The truth is that apart from mismanagement, the country don't have enough resources to provide adequate infrastructure for its large population. Every year we borrow to take care of our planned expenditures because the money we generate are never enough. Proper taxation will help this country to grow. An average Nigeria want everything but don't want to give out a anything. Oil money, oil money, where is it? How enough is it to take care of our uncountable problems in this country. A good look at our tax system and administration shows we are not yet ready for anything serious as a nation. The so called Don don't even have anything to show that he pays his required tax to the government. We talk too much in this country. |
Re: Don Jazzy Questions FG's Tax Policy by tot(f): 11:48am On Oct 14, 2019 |
smirn: Why should people face increased tax when existing tax hasn't been used for anything tangible or accounted for? Why? Did you see the roads after the rains the past couple of days? Nigeria has more than enough to go round, let the government address the mismanagement first, why should one keep pouring water in a leaking basket?! Not to mention the ridiculous borrowing this govt has done already, incurring future debts and still demanding an increase in tax. Nonsense. 1 Like |
