Yes, we'll be far worse with that defence you listed. The two RBs can't hold their own agasint tricky wingers and the two CBs can't win an aerial challenge.

If we started the season with that formation we'd be sitting 20. Cos I dont see how we wont lose against Vardy and Chelsea.

We've got a blunt attack already, having a bad defense in addition will be catastrophic.
I don't think so, if Maguire and AWB's fee was invested in midfield and attack, we'd have fared better...The stats suggest we are poor up front and in midfield.

Not really. We may score more goals (quite unlikely) but then we'll concede way more. Name players who are available for 130m and will significantly improve that midfield and attack.

If we had signed Dani Alves, a lot of folks would've been here to highlight his defensive frailties rather than his overall contribution to our play...Big teams don't do Wan-Bissaka, ask Chelsea with Azpilicueta who has been excellent in defense...

So Jovic may mature in 2-3 years from now? Would pressure and bashing from fans not have killed him before then?

Monaco won't release Tioelemans to Utd for less than 50. And he's the only one in ur list I think can contribute significantly (and I might be wrong). And Yedder to som,e extent.

The defence will still be very leaky though. There still won't be a good midfield cover for the defence, so we could easily concede when we lose possession up the field.

If we brought in Tielemans n Ben Vedder during the last TW in addition to HM and AWB, we won't be this horrible as a team.

Zidane will play Benzema till he retires instead of trusting Jovic...It's favoritism and doesn't tell the quality Jovic possesses.

Let's not stretch this talk at all, we have seen quality midfielders change clubs for very good monetary value...

Thomas Meunier was available, way cheaper than Wan-Bissaka but offers more in attack...

Watching our games, Maguire is not all that better than Tuanzebe, in less than 2 years, Tuanzebe will be rated higher...I even reckon Tuanzebe is better with the ball at this stage...For the funds we had, we'd have been investing in our midfield and attack rather than defense...
Dalot should have been trusted to man that RB supported by Young.

Leicester has conceded 7 goals this season, Utd 8. They've scored 14, Utd 9. Clearly, the problem is not the defence. Midfield and attack is non existent and we don't have any striker. Also, Pogba topped goals and assists chart for Utd last season. He's only played like 2 of the 7 league matches this season.

I'm not exonerating OGS of any blame here, I'm just stating fact. OGS has persisted with his 4-2-3-1 formation when it clearly isn't working. His rigidity and failure to adapt to the skills of the players on ground will be his doom. We don't have many world class players but that doesn't mean we should be getting staffed by Longstaff and the likes.

I said it here at the start of the season that we are worse off this season than we were at the start of last season.

You cannot genuinely see how we struggle to create chances and score goals last season and yet 2 players in attack and 2 in midfield without replacing anyone of them. It is delusional to think the defense that’s constantly under pressure won’t break. A look at Leicester and you will see how organized their midfield is. Ndidi and Maddison will walk into our midfield right now. Even Ben Chilwell over Shaw.

Our recruitment policy has been terrible. Even our choice of manager has been terrible. How we went from LVG which philosophy is possession based to Mou who is counter attacking shows there’s no direction, we are just moving as the spirit leads.

Yeah OGS needs to go but we must overhaul the entire footballing structure and move in one direction both in the manager we get and the type of players we get. This scatter gun approach has not yielded any meaningful success.

The reckless way we recruited in the past is the main reason we're currently suffering. Ed and Matt Judge just like throwing money around. They don't know how to do deals.

A scattergun approach.

A LVG type of player will be different from a Mou type of player though there are some players that will function in both system.

We need to have a direction and path which starts from the top to the bottom.

If Poch gets this Man Utd job, Wan bissaka will be benched or sold straight up. That I'm sure of. Among the managers United is linked with, only Allegri will most likely make use of Wan Bissaka. So purchase of Bissaka everyone is wanking about will still cause problems at United.

Azpilicueta has always been known to be one of the best defenders in the league, especially in 1 v 1 situations(this season aside).
He only gets slated for what he does at the higher end of the pitch. His crossing is not the best, he has never been known for his exploits in the attacking third, but he is still better than Bissaka going forward...
