I think I have seen enough to form an opinion about Pelle myself and he is not fantastic. I didnt compile the above list but their opinion about most of the players there is as good as mine.

1. Football Pitch: d football Pitch has drastically changed over d years with smoother, easily drained, lusher and firmer surface grasses. Unlike in d 1930's to early 1990's, then d pitches were muddy, coarse, loose etc.

2. The Ball: Original soccer balls were made from cow bladders sewn together. This was d case till 1970 when it was then substituted with leather balls till 1992. These set of balls were heavy, soaked moisture, stiff to maneuver and fly. Now balls are aerodynamic, light weight, synthetic resins that are impervious to water making it easier to lift, shoot, fly and spin.

3. Officiating: Offences and the rule book in general Has changed significantly. Tackling from behind, elbowing, hitting with your studs showing were minor Offences prior to France 1998. No wonder many attacking players b4 that time had short careers compared to their counterparts now.

4. Boot. Like soccer balls, boots have evolved over the years. Early boots were made of horse hides with cast iron screw studs. They were heavy, soaked moisture and absolutely prevented the movement of the toes or adjacent muscular tissues. Later generations were made from cow leather and mild steel screw studs.
