Really sucks how South African embassy finds it so convenient holding on to applications for tourist visa for months. I think it's best we protest. We can't continue keeping mute and allow them continue with this substandard act. We paid for the visa, so it's our right. My people wake up!!!

you can’t pay direct, you can only pay through Airbnb, and they are mostly not hotels...people give out their accommodation for rent...something like that, and Airbnb is the host. All transactions must pass through them.

You really don't have to pay part of any hotel reservations for a visa application, it's not advisable.. You can reserve an accommodation for free to submit with your application.

how do I go about it? Those people at vsf go wan collect 5k from me. I learnt they won’t collect reservations from 3rd parties like booking.com and the likes.

Please for study visa, they require a flight reservation... Do I have to reserve flight when the visa is not yet ready? Someone please help with this!!!

Do it a day before submitting your application.

Just go to South African Airways & place a reserve. Print & add to your application. Shikena

don't wait for vfs to send you message ,track your application online,you can also write to veronica.loving@dha.gov ,I also summited in June at vfs Abuja ,I wrote to that contact above last two weeks ago just track it today discovered that it has been ready for collection since on Friday .

Your case is special and should have been attended to if you sent a mail to the addresses given.

Please let me advise at this point that you don't need to send an email to the email addresses given if your application is less than 1 month with VFS. If it is less than a month, then they will stop looking at our emails because there has been no delays up until that point. This is generally for everybody.

But for you Hillbankz, you do have a case. Application since June 28 is unacceptable.

Compose a nice email, not one of those arrogant mails we like to compose in Nigeria (not saying you in particular do that), and send to the Director General. In the mail, explain your situation and request for assistance in finalizing the process.

I had to do the same for my wife's relative visa and I was assisted immediately (applied on 14th of June at VFS, sent mail on 3rd October to the DG, got VFS mail on 4th of October).

Also, once you send a single nice email, relax and let them do their magic. No need sending mails everyday or every hour to the email addresses provided (again, not saying this is you but some people do). Doing such will only frustrate them and they may switch on auto spam for your mails.

Thanks to all nairalanders, i applied on the 26/07/19, didnt know it was ready since 08/08/19 until i checked online, was give a three months multiple entry, first time though but am not sure am going anymore. Changed my mind. If you havent seen yours, check for ur status online
