ornicus:If you care so much about others' well being your conscience wouldn't allow you to be paying that token you're paying for such a luxury and still be threatening drivers who go through hell just to make ends meet. You don't care about him defrauding Uber, you only care about the higher fare you would pay if trip was done offline. 12 Likes 1 Share |

See what Bolt is charging from Festac to Agbara. After slamming your car from Abule Ado till Agbara, you collect #3000. No yellow taxi will collect less than 8k from you. Ornicus, you're just a rider. You may not really understand what it takes a driver to keep that engine, shocks and AC working while he drives you. You really won't understand No vex for the driver conduct. 14 Likes 1 Share

izzou: People have told me on some journeys I no dey go. Which is not fine for me, but is thier choice. But to come and say oga, I am not going unless you go offline is an ethical problem. More so when a driver tries to make up a story of bad road. On occasion, I have entered festac and told the guy stop here, I will find my way home from this point. It is really annoying and sad that Nigerian culture has entered into this as well. Keep in mind, this was from ikorodu Road(Anthony) to festac. Not festac to agbara. I know how the agbara Road is as I once took an okada all the way from third gate to agbara because I had a job to do and I knew the road was fked. Uber has provided drivers with a platform. You want to charge full 8k, then you register with a taxi cab organ9, pay your dues and sit in a car park. You do not take advantage of uber, which pushes drivers to you 2 Likes |

for anyone who has issues with drivers or riders, you can make full complaints via their webpage https://www.uber.com/global/en/sign-in/ you will have to confirm you account and set up 2fa any joker who feels he can hide information should understand that this is the information age. One of the key benefits of platforms like uber is that you can track everything. you forget something in the car, make a complaint. no need for any social media story. rather than complaining about issues with law enforcement, you can also lodge a complaint with uber on the rider's behavior. 2 Likes

ornicus: I actually quoted you because you said the driver the driver wanted to defraud uber, and was irresponsible. From your comment, you wouldn't be angry if any uber driver negotiates offline from Festac to Agbara because you know that the road is terrible. Your anger is because he tried to negotiate offline with you to Festac, which to me doesn't have terrible roads. That to me is justifiable. I would also flare up if a driver wants to negotiate offline with me from Festac to VI, with the reason of BAD ROADS. But at least, you agree that drivers use offline to make up for the little fares that can't cover cost of damage caused by bad roads And can you kindly stop using that Nigerian Mentality line? Please The picture below are uber drivers in the "HONEST PEOPLE KINGDOM", creating artificial surges. A cheat is a cheat. It has nothing to do with our culture 4 Likes 1 Share

izzou: i would not say that if several drivers here did not start trying to defend or justify the guys actions. what is wrong is wrong broke shaming, you don't have pity, you don't have a car. the best you can do when your guy has obviously done the wrong thing is keep quiet, not start trying to somehow abuse his accuser, or justify his actions. what the guy did is what i have seen different people do at different times in my life / career. attempt to undercut their partner/oga/company. lets do this business together. i will give you better price. my anger is because he is trying to cheat his partner. uber is his partner. uber brought him a customer. once he had the customer, he tried to cut uber out of the equation. if you and i are in a business, and i get us a client, and we agree on a fee of 2m, and then you go behind my back to discuss one on one with client, to cancel the deal and do it direct with izzou, what is that? izzou: well, hang around festac in the morning, or gbagada in the evening and lets run an experiment to find out. dangerous riders can always be blacklisted. it is why snoop dogg is banned from British Air. it is why companies issue disclaimers against some staff. if there is a series of verified complaints against a problem rider, he will simply be banned from the platform. no biggie 3 Likes |

ornicus: Like I said, your route didn't warrant such. I'll be pissed if it was done to me. But negotiating offline because of BAD ROADS doesn't mean one is irresponsible or a thief. Like I said, you really won't understand. No vex for the driver sha And concerning being blocked by uber, how does that change anything? Snoop can't fly British Airways because they have a picture of him, probably his biometrics too. Does uber have a picture of you? All it takes to open an account is a phone number, and a mail. Banned from the platform doesn't checkmate a violent rider. He can come back as many times as he wants 7 Likes 1 Share |

Driver decides to go offline mode with you due to bad roads to festac is not been fraudulent. If only this rider spewing this crap knows what it takes to keep the car running like izzou pointed out, he would reason with the driver. The probability of getting rides out of festac is 50/50 I stand corrected. The rider should just cancel and order for another ride. Another driver might take the trip. Enough of this back and forth. 4 Likes 1 Share |

izzou: So I go dey open phone line up and Dan?is it that convenient? You keep missing the bad roads issue. The roads to festac are not bad. at least not between gbagada and amuwo. what the guy was doing was trying to pull a fast one on me. Most drivers in my direct experience know very little or roads inside festac 1 Like |

You guys should call a spade just what it is and stop defending bad attitude of one of your own. The driver obviously didn't know it is his steady route, that is the only reason he came up with that bad road story. I have noticed that on this thread, the driver is ever hardly at fault. It is always the rider with the bad attitude and everything. When they call you out for yours, you start giving the story of riders not knowing what it takes to maintain a car. If you feel the platform isn't favourable for you- get da fûck off it. 10 Likes 2 Shares
