It has not been cancelled. Sources who promised to help are trying to wash their hands off as it is clear that they really can't help. So they are saying it's cancelled. Please let us be at rest. All is well.

If it is cancelled truly, then it would be 2 recruitment processes cancelled back to back. That would portray the corporation as the most unserious establishment that could ever be!

Lol, you may have a point there; the cancellation rumour could just be to discourage any pressure from backdoor and then BOOM! APL shows up on our doorsteps.

This thread is really a roller coaster. One day, it is through-the-roof optimism with everyone's source or contact pointing towards APL being around the corner. The next day if it is not some people fear-mongering about the corruption in the process, it is them peddling cancellation rumours. I think we should all keep calm about the whole process without minding the hearsays posted here.

Pls, you all should just relax and wait for things to unfold.. disregard any negative comments regarding the recruitment as it is almost at the point of completion... A friend on this thread (moniker withheld) just called me about 30mins ago panicking and saying there is a new rumour circulating on Nairaland about the cancellation of the recruitment.. I work at XXXXX here in XXXXX, Delta State and my Boss is pals with majority of the big players in the O&G Ind... He also has a nephew who applied for the job (GT).. He's not in the office now but I called him to inform him of what I was told.. he asked me to cut the call so he could make a call.. 5 minutes later, he called me back and said he just spoke with one of the powerful Men in NNPC now, MR Xxxxxx (Name Withheld), that's the name he told me.. and the first things I wrote above was exactly what the man told him... he said the man also said the list would be released anytime from now pending some bureaucratic processes.... that's all .... no other questions ... I've passed my info...

I spoke with two people that work with NNPC (one at the towers, they are not management staffs, but they both told me the rumour about cancellation is false.

Im not telling anyone what to believe (including my message) but i think our best and most reliable source are our portals, so far its still accessible i guess the recuitment is still on.

He did well to share what he got but nobody cares if he is interested or not. Atleast he didn’t tell us the job he got. The thread has improved him a bit.
Furthermore, except tomorrow is Saturday, then the recruitment cannot be cancelled. Same same source that falsely said when APL would be out now says the recruitment will be cancelled and you are jittery. Lol.

I laughed at the comment considering I had even forgotten about NNPC and the fact that I remembered the thread. I tried to ask him why he said so and he claimed someone in the know told him.

Sources on here should confirm the accuracy of this. I have no interest anymore in the recruitment but the fact that I was once invested in this thread am aware of people's anticipations made me think to relay the experience on here
