Yet we wonder why Trump and some world leaders look down on us and call us names, everyday it’s either tragic news on how people died due to bad road, fire, flooding and even stray bullet from our own law enforcers!!
This year’s flooding seems to outrank every other flooding we have experienced in recent times, who knows what next year might bring, but during dry season instead of the government to prepare for the rain, all their goals rotates around physical and financial pleasures!!

Playing in the floodwaters while in secondary school is one of the best things that happened to me in secondary school. We never wanted the water level to go down.

Very stupid and dangerous thing to do, but it was madt fun. wink

So sad,
This shows that climate change is real, drainage abuse is realer and zero town planning adherence is realest in our dear Lagos state.

But the reality of the report that all of Lagos will be submerged by the Atlantic ocean in 2050 is very devastating to me.

To think that all of our sweat, all our efforts to develop Lagos and make it a city after New York will be wasted is an everyday heartbreaker.
Life is just not fair.
We did not develop Lagos for the Atlantic ocean to claim it.

Lagos State: a state where there is a wide gap between d rich and the poor. A state where one can waste his youthfulness and become old without any achievement. A state where its wealth is shared among the mighty (whatever d party) so that d majority poor will be silenced forever.

Go back to your state and start a new life b4 those in d village speed past you.

They should send those kids home till the flood dries up before another news will come out from there.
Things we will do to avoid hazard we won't do them. God help Nigeria.

as bad as delta state it can't be worse than Lagos

lol
This one is fine self
You need to see community government school along Ikorodu road close to Ajegunle area, students enter the school using wooden bridge and school looks like an abandoned fish farm. Lagos is very developed oo don't get it twisted lol

Flood aside, Lagos state public schools are nothing to write home about. I expect the public schools in Lagos to be a pacesetter considering the cosmopolitan nature of the state and high concentration of foreign nationals.

In the mind of foreigners, if the public schools in Lagos could be as they are now, how are the ones in less endowed states would look like?

This is one of the reasons most expatriates do not bring their families to Nigeria. Public infrastructure are in shambles. They will rather keep their families outside Nigeria and continue their jobs here.

Go to Southern Africa of Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Botswana and South Africa, most expatriate usually reside in those countries with their families, some attending public schools there.

Corruption has destroyed this country and the youths whose future children would potentially attend these dilapidated public schools would be the ones fighting and defending the politicians incompetence.
