Ensure you obtain your National Identification Number (NIN). The law requires it for (j) acquisition, sale or transfer or transmission of shares or equities and other financial instruments ;

What of foreign investors?
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Kolping: 10:29pm On Oct 17, 2019
As long as you have Nigerian citizenship (either through your parents or grandparents or even great-grandparents), NIN will gradually be added to investment forms provided by stockbrokers and investment banks in the near future.

You can download and read the official government gazette which was signed into law in 2017.

Did you post this because of the shares Transfer which I have completed.Done and dusted.

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Kolping: 10:39pm On Oct 17, 2019
The post is to prepare you for what is coming in Nigeria and that is slowly and surely, the NIN will increasingly be required to obtain many services in Nigeria, including employment. Just like JAMB will now require candidates in 2020 to register with the NIN. It's just a matter of time, afterall it was signed into law in 2017 while Nigerians were distracted by other events...

You can download and read the official government gazette that lists all the services which requires the NIN by law.

I have my way of getting the bottom. Just do a 20% markup to whatever price Agba quotes or I go verbatim with CP's own. I also do have my target stocks and just waits for the opinion of these two fine gentlemen to tally with mine (80% match is good enough for me).

Agba really knows how to predict the market but don't take his prices verbatim else you will never purchase any stock.

CP is also very good at pointing out "bottoms". He hardly quotes prices but whenever he does, the price sticks!

Sir Mendes, this is an awesome display of knowledge. My only challenge with Agba is my impatience.

OGG gives me a range wink, CP comes with his point and kill within that range cool , then Agba comes with this funny expression undecided

even though I don't understand ichimoku yet, at least I know that the index is below the cloud on all TF using default parameters. Does this mean anything?

I always don't enter until there's a panic selloff. Zenith charts were pointing for a mini bull few weeks ago while it was selling with volume at #18. You pointed it out then but I refused to enter due to the absence of a panic period.

Chief Swilo, Agba is complicated! You need to decipher when he's serious and when he's just catching fun with words. Both scenarios are very very similar.

The index is below the cloud now. However most banking stocks are above the cloud.

Cloud changes from bullish to bearish but the price will need to start cutting the bearish cloud (when prices are under the cloud) first before the cloud reverts upwards. That is the logic.

Index is just an average of all stocks. So individual stocks cann run up in prices before the index recovers. Likewise a big cap can turn the index bullish while other stocks are bearish. We saw this during MTN listing.

If you look at the daily ichimoku, there is a tapering (thining) of the cloud which 'could' suggest that the index should start to break that cloud.

I will only believe the market to be bearish if banking stocks hit August 2019 intraday low. Stocks like Zenith(15+), UBA(5.45), GTB(25+), FCMB(1.41), FIDELITY(1.4), ACCESS(5.5).

The big caps have fallen to juicy levels.

It is raining on the Index yet you didn't want to apply the same analogy to stocks like Access, FCMB, Fidelity, Zenith, UBA and others (in other sector) that are above the cloud. grin

Oga Oracle I agree there are stocks that are strongly resisting the bearish trend (bullish in your words)
Do you understand why they haven't fly? It is because they all bow to the index

After explaining the meaning of Bottom,I now finished them with the following points on why I want my stocks with them to be transferred.

1.You people charge 1.75% on buy and 2.085% on sell but my online broker charges me a total of 1.35% on both.A brokerage fees of 0.75%.

2.It takes you people more than a week to issue me a cheque on sold stock but my money lands in my bank acct on the 3rd day of selling my stock with my online broker.

3.It takes me two days to buy another stock with my sales proceeds but I have access to buy a stock immediately I sell my stock with my online broker.

4.You people always discourage me to use price limit to buy stocks but advices me to place order at best market price but with my online broker,I use price limit to execute trades.

5.You never told me about direct cash settlement but my online broker sent me an email about it.

6.You charge me for every print out I request, but with my online broker,I have access to my accts free of charge.

7.You people buy a stock for me at the highest price and sell at the lowest price but I chose the price to buy or sell with my online broker.

8.You always tell me......Nna, you will get 100% if you buy this stock and I end up selling at loss but with my online broker,I am ok with 10-15% gain or 10-15% stop loss order.

9.With you,I don't know how to cancel a stock I placed order for but with my online broker,at a click of a mouse I am there.

10.With you,no market data and no access to Nse.All these are available with my online broker.

And many more I discussed with them.

Finally,I told them to complete the transfer form immediately.
They were speechless. The only thing they could say is pls you need to complete your KYC with us.

My brother,Analog brokers can frustrate their clients for years without them achieving any dividends of stock market.
When I discovered Meritrade and morgan I couldn't wait to speak grammar with my analogue stockbroker, I just placed sell mandate for all the stocks I hard with them withdrew all the money and moved on.

Over the years I traded more with Morgan than Meritrade but morgan's customer service have always been a very huge disappointment each time I have reason to contact them. Even to the extent that I have got reasons to contact the cscs directly all because the morgan customer service refuse to do their work. Issues that will be resolved within hours by Meritrade takes weeks and even months to be resolved by morgan due to poor rated customer service.

Infact, I am beginning to consider leaving Morgan completely for meritrade since I can still negotiate the brokerage fees with them.

You get mind to sell all your stocks just because of changing a broker. What of if you sold them at loss and repurchase again at your new broker(all involve charges on top of loss). It is your right to move your stocks to any broker of your choice without big big grammar nah.
The stocks I moved are big cap stocks which I can't sell anyhow.I will not encourage anyone to sell his/her stocks just to change a broker. The process of transferring stocks are very simple and clear.Your new broker does majority of the jobs during inter member transfer.....
