In art... Especially corporate art, Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.

The first one is better is all ramifications. It can be implemented the way the guy did the mockup...it can also be implemented the Mercedes way(on a pivot on the bonnet), or even the Rolls-Royce way(rises up from within the bonnet to the top, on engine start).

The second one on the other hand has no other way of implementation except the way of the Mock up.

The second guys artwork is not simple... And I cringe whenever I see complex artworks especially when it's intended to be a logo. Mercedes has the simplest logo in the automobile industry... Can you tell me which logo is the most known, identified, remembered?

Nigerians have reacted to the logo designed by a second graphics artist for Innoson Vehicles.

Recall that the attention of the chairman of Innoson Vehicles was drawn to a graphics artist who designed a proposed logo for the company.

The company reacted as seen in the screenshot below.

The attention he got motivated another graphics artist to take a chance at also getting the company’s attention. This he did by making his own design and uploading it to Twitter.

However, his move was criticized by some Nigerians who felt it could tarnish the chances of the first guy who already has the attention of Innoson Vehicles.

Federal government of Nigeria has propose a project to start car manufacturing by end of 2023, the second designer should use his energy to design for federal car manufacturer by 2023, as we know that the first design has been accepted meaning the second designer is imitation and in the market imitation look more fancy and attractive more than original. If I was Innoson, I’d extend the competition.
This would motivate other designers out there to come out. I think the social media reception of the first design and this latest one would motivate other companies and brands to engage with graphic designers or throw more competitions out.

Innoson original logo is uninspiring. The first design is class and I’d pick it over the second one...however I think the competition should be extended to reveal the talent and creativity of the Nigerian graphic artists.

People criticising this second dude should shut up and allow others to express themselves.

More companies would start to think in that direction hopefully.

The first is better than the second cos it's smart and simple just like the Toyota, hondau or Hyundai logo. So it's cool 4 me o.

The first design is more sleek and it will also be fair to the first guy for being bold and innovative

That second logo is cheaply made. The first logo creative wella. Just look at how you can still see the background in parts of the first logo.

I remember Nigeria gave about $400k for Nigeria Air's logo to a company in Bahrain.
It's all a sham.
A Nigerian most likely designed that logo and got paid peanuts while the Nigerian that registered his company in Bahrain got the lion share of our public funds.

Several big brands didn't design their logos themselves. Other people did and won with it. You only wake up to see that these brands announce a change of their logos and who designed it? You don't know! Yes social media made the first guy trend and caught the eyes of innoson motors but that same social media has a million and one terrible people in it who do not want others to outshine them. Keep your ideas to yourself and pursue your dreams codedly.when I saw that car given to mercy BBN I knew that IVM logo wasn't catchy and fancy but hey! Another man immediately got to work and gave a solution but he failed delivering his brilliance via an open platform. The second guy just designed a logo that has no bearing of full company's name, he is not creative . First guy is a visionary , his logo bears all company's initials (I V M ) in style, but Nigerians won't notice these because of low IQ . The first guy completely beat the second guy.

Just as somebody pointed out he should create logo for Dangote because that Dangote logo is ugly,, who knows he might get the attention of Alhaji

The first logo carries a more powerful personality while this carries more message. It bears the letters of the original Logo - IVM.
