Not always, it might start on the day the baby is born or even before that. The more the baby sucks, the more it increases, so a lot of babies breastfeed from day 1. But if yours doesn't come in early, you'll have to buy formula for newborn (e.g NAN 1) and feed the baby while still letting him suck.

I guess the milk flow depends on individual and the condition of the mother after birth. Most hospitals will ask you to get baby formula (milk) to prevent neonatal hypoglycemia

Madam, You don't need to be scared, the best thing is to rush to hospital immediately.

I am in my 3rd month too(In summary: I am 2months and some weeks). I had heavy bleeding with clots for two good weeks. The great thing was that my baby and the hearts beat with sac are okay.

During the period that I experienced heavy bleeding for 2 weeks(Week 2-week4 of my pregnancy), I was placed on bed rest, daily injection(Gestone), Cyclogest(once daily), Folic acid 5mg(Once Daily), Progynova 2mg(Three times daily). To God be the glory, the baby and the mother(Me) are doing fine.

Another thing is that ask them if they are given you Gestational age or Conceptional age during your scan procedure.

I only shared my experience for you to be sure that all is well but quick action is required

Please allow your doctor to prescribe for you before you get them.
That shes using them doesn't mean you have to also!!!

Consult your doctor first! If unsatisfied, seek a second opinion

Self medication is bad especially now that you are pregnant. Please follow your doctor's advice. If you are not satisfied, discuss your concerns with your doctor or see another doctor.

The drug(Dulphaston) given to you is also progesterone medicine.
Cyclogest, progynova and Gestone are progesterone medicine. I also discussed the medicine with another doctor before use. You can conduct your doctor before use but from experience, a lot of people uses progesterone in early pregnancy.

Note: At this period, you need to reduce the way you move about, be on bed rest, no cooking or lifting of anything,no sex, no bending, don't take bike, no shopping for now and take enough water, only 30minutes walk is required in a day within the house

I will advice you start Antenatal immediately. After conducting some antenatal test, some drugs will be given to reduce the vomiting and it will also allow you to sleep afterwards.

For the morning sickness, I was not given any thing in the two hospital that I used for my Antenatal.

Bitter mouth after taking any thing was part of my own but I was told, it will go after first trimester and now, feeling more better than earlier stage. People can share more light based on their own experience

Secondly, please see a doctor. He or she will give you something to ease up the morning sickness......though some women, like me, experience morning sickness all through 9 months of pregnancy.

Pls mamas, I'm worried about the tear I received, being a first time mum and being that my baby was too big 4kg I received a tear down to my anus, ..in fact I received both vagina tear and the tear down to my anus .

Which brings me to my worries, its been almost two weeks and the tear/skin down to my anus has not started gluing back together. I'm healing and feeling less pain, .and the stitches have almost completely come off but that line down to my anus is still very much open.

Has anyone had this type of tear before? ..when can I expect it to glue back together? Does it ever glue back together? I'm just scared!

Hian! Are you on the slim side cos I dnt understand this massive tear down to the anus for a 4.0kg baby. @ bolded I think you should seek a medical advice for peace of mind.
On a second thought, Hope your not seating on a hot and steaming water cos words have it that it opens the stitched areas.

You have to ensure you eat something, try to see a doctor for proper checkup because of the no sleep. It's well .

Please go to the school, if you can't hold anyone responsible, hold the teacher, that baby is just 3 so they are supposed to know every movement of that child while in school. Jesus Christ! What is this? Try and get her to talk, tell her nothing can happen to her tell her you won't spank her, if there is a favourite place of thing of her, promise her you'd get that or take her there. Please get to the root of this and may Amadioha roast that human that will hurt a 3year old child like that, may that fellow never know peace. Jesus Christ. My heart is bleeding.

Every and all mamas, please don't think you can over emphasize sex education in your children. Always talk to them about it, always find out how their day went. Even if the story is boring, pick out things from there and drill them on it, so they can always be open to you to tell you things on their own. God, my heart bleeds.

My daughter is 4, after picking her from school yesterday, on our way home, she complained that her thumb was hurting, on clearer look, I noticed there was a little cut on it. I asked her what happened and she began:

Daughter- it's Miss pe....( And put her hand across her mouth, trying to stop herself)

Me- who? Tell me now....

Daughter- she said I should not tell

Me: tell me now, am I not your friend again? You know you can tell me anything

Daughter- it's Miss peace (her teacher), I was shouting and she used pointer to flog me hand.

Me- sorry, but don't be making noise in class again, ok?

I am not bothered that she flogged her, despite the cut, cos the girl can be a handful.
My problem is that she made her promise not to tell anyone as it was my daughter's fault she did what she did.

I have always encouraged my daughter to tell me anything that happens in school no matter how silly and she has always, cos I want her to be always free and tell me things so I can know what's happening.
Her teacher threatening her not to talk is setting a precedent I don't like cos my daughter actually stopped herself from telling me until I reminded her that as her best friend she should tell me.
How do I approach this issue with the owner or the school or said teacher?

Please dear, visit the school and call the teacher's attention to it, let her know that your child told you, caution her but with a light voice so she'd know she had no right telling your child not about any event in her school.
Tell your child never to be afraid of telling you about ANYTHING that happens to her, whether in school or anywhere. Imagine the rubbish. Mtcheeeewwww. My heart is bleeding true.

I would rather you speak with the teacher about it privately if possible especially if the school authority can dismiss her for it. I say this because she may not have intentionally hit her to give her a cut. And she knows how parents and management can react. Mistakes do happen. She may have apologized to the little girl for it already and regretted her actions.

Though after speaking with her and she still doesn't see any wrong in telling a toddler not to tell her mother things, then one should escalate to school head. Sorry mama.

In a case like this a right thinking person should have approached the parents and explain to him/her, not telling the child not to say anything.
