Apparently, Latest Nokia smartphones( Nokia 6.1, 7+ and 7.1) all have one or two issues about charging. I have the 7.1 and barely 8 months into it's use, it developed a charging problem (issue with the port). I tried checking online and I found out it was a general issue with their recent products. I contacted their live support and they acknowledged the fact that there was a problem with the charging ports of said devices and they were aware of it but 'they were on top of it'.
Considering the price of some of these phones, with the 7.1 worth over a 100,000(when I purchased it) it's really sad that we've got deal with issues like this.

It cost me 8k to fix my 5.1plus charging point after the issue cuz my phone always take too long to charge and I have to be folding my cord before phone can charge but my phone is okay now...the price of much for charging point

Fixing it at an unauthorized place voids your warranty and also puts your phone at risk. The one I went to said he has a 50-50 chance of fixing it due to the glass back. So if he decides to fix it, the glass might break or the screen might stop functioning
