Hello Gazzuzz

My 2009/corolla just had its back end of the engine block ruptured by a rod from the piston.
It happened when I was driving within the city.
All oil was drained out.
My mechanic said it might require only half of the engine (model no is ZRE1....)

What do you think and what cost outlay should I be preparing for?

Bro please if you are not deeply mechanically inclined kindly forget that route.

Just buy the complete engine as Gazzuzz suggested.

ignore the 606 it's only acting up because of the faulty oxygen sensor on bank 2.

The p0016 could be sludge , a faulty vtc actuator
or solenoid or incorrect timing (if engine recently worked on)

Find a mechanic that can understand the codes listed up there.

The future of that engine is not very bright, seems like it will require some work.

Considering all the offers on the table.
The Borale option was brought up and its meant to free up up to 40 to 50k.

Looking at prices from Ladipo too.
Gazzuzz price comes to mind but...e plenty sha..

My 2004 Toyota corolla has been consuming much oil lately without any blue smoke tailing it.
I changed the valve seal after noticing some oil drainage still it didn't stop. My mechanic suggest engine rebuild or replacement. Please what is your advice. Thanks

Observation - Car vibrates on Idle, drive engaged and AC on.

I think the Rev pin is too low, am I correct? If yes, what could be the solution.

Over the past week, I've put 4 oxygen sensors - after driving for like 10mins, the codes come back and the car begins to misfire again.

Got one today from your referral, same thing

I even changed the spark plugs today.

See codes again

P2196 sensor signal biased/stuck rich bank 1 sensor 1

P0300 random/multiple misfire detected

P0301 cylinder 1 misfire detected

P0303 cylinder 3 misfire detected

P0305 cylinder 5 misfire detected

P0172 System too rich bank 1

Please advise...

well for starters it is a V configuration engine.

You have very faulty precatalytic O2 sensor on bank 1 (1 sensor 1) reporting to the ecu.

The ecu is interpreting the information and enriching the combustion system causing misfires.

Replace the oxygen sensor and clean the spark plugs. Car will be fine

Good day Gazzuz,
Pls I need your advice. I drive a Toyota sienna 2000 model, so I needed to change the rear tyres. I wanted lite truck because of it sturdiness, the tyre is Rim 15 205/70.

However the seller advised that I charge to Rim 17 due to the scarcity and price of Rim15. Rim17 is cheaper compared Rim 15 (used tyres), that he will give me 4 Rim17 {Alloy Rim) with tyre and take my own but I will add some money to it (45k).

But I am sceptic about the workability of the exchange with regards to the effect of such changes on the car, the fenders and fuel consumption and other possible effects.

front of radiator is bank 2 sir. You have been disturbing the wrong sensor .

Bank1 sensor 1 is behind the engine tongue

i have an Honda Accord 2008, and my gear slips when changing from gear 3 to gear 4. I was advised to replace the gearbox, which i did. the new gearbox now seems to get stuck at gear 2 when it downshifts to gear 2. i complained to my mech and he claims to have changed this second gearbox to a third. The third still has the same problem of getting stuck on gear 2.

Please have you experienced this before?

If you recently removed the battery, then do nothing, just drive around.

But if not call me.

yes, and I solved it by replacing the gearbox . Replace

My 2006 Toyota Corolla threw up a P0741 error code - torque converter clutch circuit performance/stuck off

I researched the code and noticed low gear oil can trigger it.

I gauged the gear oil and saw it was low, do I just top it up or completely drain the current oil and refill?

And do I also need to change the filter?

transmission oil leaks can only come from 2 places on that transmission.

C.V axle seals, and torque converter seal.

Check for leaks and fix if any.

Drain transmission oil and refill with fresh Toyota type IV after fixing leaks if any.

If code remains ignore it.
