jamela:If you are going to accommodate you brother and feed him, then he should take care of his flight fare and miscellaneous. Book flight (unpaid) and add extra money for things like sight seeing, shopping. That should be how much he's going to spend. Remeber he must not spend more than half his disposable income. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by jamela(f): 6:17pm On Oct 19, 2019 |
Candybright:Thanks, he would be staying with me for 7 days. What documents do i need to send him? Does he have to use his own bank statement or can I use mine to demonstrate his planned expenses? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Candybright: 6:27pm On Oct 19, 2019 |
jamela:You will have to read through to get as much information as you can from this thread. He must provide his bank statement. If you are housing him, provide your rent receipt, if possible bank statement, proof to show you went to school and graduating now, birth certificate etc. He should demonstrate his expenses from his own bank statement not from yours. Don't make it look like he can't afford to take care of his expenses which will become a red flag |

Good evening gurus in the house. Please i need clarification on an issue. I would like to confirm if monthly deductions from my salary account for thrift (Ajo) won't be a problem if i apply for a tourist visa next year (the Ajo will end in July and i wish to apply in September 2020. Though i will collect my own contribution in December 2019). I earn 200k as salary and 100k is deducted for the Ajo. I wish to declare my monthly expenses as 13k but i am concerned the 100k deduction might be an issue. Also, i was denied my 1st uk tourist visa application for 5 days in 2018 based on my financial status and socio economic ties ( i am single and still stay with my parents). The Eco officer mentioned though he understood i was employed but not sure i would return since i stated in my application that i am single with no dependent, properties, plus the amount budgeted for the trip was high compared to my net income. However, a friend recommneded this forum after my 1st application went south and i have been a silent reader since then. I have learnt so much from this forum and with the knowledge i have now, i cannot fault the Eco officer cos my budget for my 1st application was thrice my disposable income( lol). I wish to state that i was earning 102k when i applied in 2018 but i was promoted early this year and net income increased to 200k and after collecting my Ajo contribution, i will have an acct balance of 1.5million. I have also been to Dubai twice ( 2017 and 2018). I would be providing all the necessary documents alongside the additional ones i have learnt about on this forum ( i would post my cover letter and documents to submit here when i am ready to apply for further advise) but i want to clear my doubts about the 100k ajo deduction first. I am sorry for the epistle and look forward to getting a feedback from the gurus in the house Thank you all. |

Orjforlife: Your ajo deduction is part of your ME. Leaving you with a DI of 100k. If you further deduct 13k it means u left with 87k. My advice... If u want to really go on holiday to the UK, suspend your ajo, run ur account for six month with your DI. 1 Like |

should someone budget 2x(monthly income - monthly expenses) or 3x (mi-me)..... |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Suuz: 10:15pm On Oct 19, 2019 |
opomulero: mi - me =disposable income To answer your question, not more than two times(2x) your disposable income. |

[Thank you justblow for your feedback. Please note that i wish to present statement from both salary and savings account....the salary account shows my salary is paid every month and deductions done (including d Ajo) whenever cash is needed and my savings account which i have been running for a while shows transfers received only from my salary account every month and will have the 1.5million balance. I plan to use the savings account as proof of funds and my salary account along with my payslips just to show that i earn monthly and source of the fund in my savings account. Will this be a problem? Please enlighten me. Thank you. quote author=Justblow post=83287202] Your ajo deduction is part of your ME. Leaving you with a DI of 100k. If you further deduct 13k it means u left with 87k. Orjforlife: With a well explained cover letter and proper highlights on your statement, you should be fine. But mind you, make sure you run points on paper very well, cause flaws is what they look for. You need to let the ECO know that the ajo tins is your personal way of saving and please get the ajo evidence and add it to your application. All d best. 2 Likes |

Your Ajo is not monthly expense but part of your savings (target savings). You can even call it your target savings for your trip and get your Ajo chairman to write a letter covering that (if its a government registered thrift society). Justblow: Orjforlife: |

onyexx:I guess you want to go for assisted scan service of 10,000 and do walk in of 42,000. You can just pay for assisted service and walk into VFS and pay 42,000 cos if you pick flexi and the likes, you will be paying double. Or you look for a farther free date and pick at no cost then walk in and pay 42k. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by onyexx: 9:01pm On Oct 20, 2019 |
Candybright: Ok thanks... I honestly thought that asides the visa fee I was only going to pay the 10k for the assisted service and nothing more... |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Candybright: 9:16pm On Oct 20, 2019 |
onyexx:Yes you are actually supposed to pay only visa fee of about 45k. I see all those other fees as unecesaary unless you have need for urgent travel and tge available appointment date isn't convenient for you. If you need free date, keep checking the page, free date slots drop atimes. You may get a free date for this week or next week if you ain't running out of time. That's why it's good to start your application on time so you don't incurr more expenses like priority, walk in and the rest. |
