The goods we import from Benin,( Rice.) Are they produced in Benin. Capital No
When Rice is imported from Thailand to Benin ( Who gets the import duty <{ Benin) govt.
And who are the consumers of 90% of such Rice ? ( Nigeria) You shortchange our Government. When it only takes 3/ 4 months to plant the same rice locally here
the goods like textiles and spare parts or cars that Nigerians import into Ghana from Nigeria
are they made in Nigeria or they come from China ?

yet Ghana is not closing it borders because we have an effective way to tax those products .

there is Togo right becide Ghana
they also have a free port

and Ghana hasn't even complained
You have to make yourself competitive and stop blaming other people.

Nigerians go to the market and decide to buy foreign rice over local ones
no one makes those choices for them.

Today, local rice in Ghana is a big thing because it is cheaper and well polished and taste better
so people buy it, it doesnt mean we dont buy foreign rice.

Nigerians are the dumbest people in this world. When Ghana locked just 400 Nigerian shops in a town in Kumasi alone, your government and trade unions were organizing protest at the ECOWAS office crying xenophobia and free trade buh you're here shouting Giant of Africa because you have unilaterally closed your borders to starve yourselves to death. GUTA had always hated you since Kwame Nkrumah and you have foolishly gave them a chance to eliminate you from Ghana. For your information millions of Nigerians live in Ghana and do trade of imports and exports. GUTA was the one who locked all your shops in Kumasi. Now tell me,Ghana exports goods worth just 80 million dollars to Nigeria for a country who exports 17 billion dollars worth of goods outside, less than 0.5% goes to Nigeria buh Nigeria exports goods worth 303 million dollars to Ghana in a year.If Ghana bans your goods, tell me who loses more. The minister is just a diplomat who knows how ugly it will be if Ghana retaliates so she's going diplomatic first to tell you to comply ECOWAS protocols .Warning to your country if you refuse her diplomatic settlement. Ghana never needs Nigeria.
u are wrong we have the market.

do you really want to compare that to Ghana

Purchasing power in Ghana is 2 to 3 times what you have in Nigeria.

stop disturbing people with this your useless data. Ordinary sneezing your country is feeling cold.
Nigeria temporarily closed her land borders to correct some abnormalities and Ghana is running like a mad dog. Nigeria does not have land borders with ghana, why all these noises. Did you bring your goods through sea/airports and Nigeria rejected them.
If Nigeria needs a country to listen to, definitely, it must not be ghana. There is no amount of threats from your GUTA or gutter that can force Nigeria to reopen the borders without getting things right. You can go ahead and lock Nigerian shops which is prompted by hate, envy and jealousy and Nigeria is too big to descend such low to lock Ghanaian shops as a retaliation. Or you can ban Nigeria goods as your gutter suggested, but your gutter must be careful not to push Nigeria to cough. Ordinary sneezing is chilling your country like this.
Nigeria should behave like a giant she is. If a snake doesn't act like a snake young girs will use it and tie firewood. Ghana to Nigeria is like house cat to tiger. Let your gutter brings it on.
God bless Buhari and his team of advisers on this border closure. This is one of his best achievements so far

• FG: We need to borrow to fund the budget

• Facebook NG: Stop borrowing. Live within your means

• FG: Ok, let's live within our means by supporting local industries.

• Facebook NG: Are you madt? How can we live within our means in this economy?

• FG: Should we increase Taxes to fund the budget?

• Facebook NG: Something must be wrong with you. Do you want to kill the masses?

• FG: How about we sell some national assets to raise funds?

• Facebook NG: So you want to sell our national assets to your friends like you sold Etisalat to your family Abi?

• FG: So what can we do?

• Facebook NG: Remove Fuel Subsidies ( under recovery), you will raise N1 Trillion.

• FG: Great, we will remove fuel subsidies?

• Facebook NG: Why would you remove subsidies? Do you want to kill us?

• FG: But most of the fuel is being smuggled accross the border.

• Facebook NG: Empty brain, Close the border Joor!

• FG: Closes the border

• Facebook NG: Why must you close the border? Do you want to kill their economy? Besides the price of rice has gone up.

• FG: But we now produce rice locally?

Facebook NG: Which useless rice. Show me the plantation.

And what does he stand to gain from starving Nigerians?

Nigeria did not ban any country's produce, Nigeria only said if u want to trade use the sea port. I am even surprised Ghana is complaining.

The country that should complain that me self is even pitying is Niger republic, they are landlocked and can't export to our sea ports.

I even did some more research I found out that Niger republic is very poor, imagine being in the heart of the Sahara desert with no money and poverty everywhere.

Ghana is like they have a grudge towards Nigeria they have not even understood the notion behind the policy and they want to retaliate, not just retaliating they want to ban made in Nigeria goods... LoL

No be fight o. Naturally our export to your country will be higher than your export to ours The ratio of Nigerians in Ghana to Ghanaians in Nigeria is 5:1.

Do the maths, there are no much Ghanaians in Nigeria and its not our fault, since most of u still hate Nigeria for whatever reason.
