Just30:Nigeria has not had a fuel shortage in three years. And we pay the equivalent of 2.17 GHS per litre, not like the crazy 5.35 or 5.4GHS per litre that is forcing everyone to use all those tiny 1.0 l capacity engine cars. Be enlightened. 5 Likes |

stagger: all that you just mentioned only says one thing Ghana is an expensive place to live. we Ghanaians are not complaining because we earn enough to be able to afford this kind of living standards of living is proportionately higher than in Nigeria I can easily get electricity to my house i can easily connect water to my house i can easily pay my water and electricity bill i can easily access health care without going far every community has a school which is easily accessible. transport services are readily available 80 -90 percent of Ghanaians live above the poverty line that is prety high standard do you know the price of Guinness in the UK? it is 4.25 pounds do you know the price of Guinness in Sweden? 5 pounds Any economy with high wages price goods accordingly My government have removed all subsidizes on fuel Now no one smuggles fuel again. and every Ghanaian can afford it without complaining because we know what the money will be used for |

zuchyblink:Nigeria as a country also needs these west African countries market for our industries to keep running n continued employment guaranteed, it's time the government look into their complains n find a middle ground to solve the problem before the gang up against us, let's not decieve ourselves that we don't need them, it's going to be catastrophic if they should gang up against us. 2 Likes |

stagger:story of my life just this year alone, you've had 2 or 3 shortages we pay 5.3 because we can afford it that is the international price without subsidizes youre too poor and wont be able to pay the same amount we pay for fuel. it will cause a revolution in nigeria that is why your government cant even increase the price of fuel in your country evn though they know that the subsidizes are making Nigeria bankrupt and causing fuel smuggling. 2 Likes 1 Share |

I'm a staunch critic of Buhari and don't believe he's got the energy to move Nigeria forward. However, on this border closure, I support him. This is the second firm decision in as many months.First ,his diplomatic salvo to recall Nigeria's emissary from xenophobic South Africa ,then this. The Ghanaian government know they've got to tread with caution regarding this stand-off with Naija,as it could have a collateral damage. How many outsourcing jobs go into the Ghanaian economy? This is the first time Naija is really throwing her weight around like the US.Naija sneezes, all of dem come catch cold! Go on son u,Naija. 2 Likes |

erico2k2:It simply means no room for smuggling of goods into Nigeria. You can't import rice from Thailand and pay Benin the import duty and the same time, the rice ends up in Nigeria through smuggling. If you are importing rice into Nigeria, pass through air or sea and pay Nigeria customs the required import duty. Go to Seme border or Niger/ Katsina border now and see 1000s of their goods on line 1 Like |

Fallenhunter: No bro, we need to understand that we have very poor purchasing power. The purchasing power of any country is what matters. Not really about population. Bro, Morocco is ahead of Nigeria. They have so many things already fixed that we are struggling with for decades. Electricity, water, road network, industry, etc. We have none of this working. |
