Guess your total package is 100,000
Am sure your appointment letter gives the breakdown of your pay, so your tithe is 10% of that basic.
This would have cut your tithe by 50%


Also, cut on some expenses that aren't necessary like the visitation money, development and etc

have you considered getting a bike for easy transportation you get to save massively over time for transport fare, plus relocating the family to low cost areas that is if wifey ain't working to save on house rent (might even save enough to buy a piece of land ), plus adding a side hustle no matter how small

He would need at least a CC 200 to ply the major roads without getting in trouble with Lagos state. That's about 500-600k depending on the brand.

I want to believe that your kids are still in Primary school. Wait until they start entering Secondary school. Your borrowing will be on another level. You better start saving before they enter Secondary otherwise you will not be able to feed well not to talk of saving.

His transportation is already cheap. At 8000 for a month and working from Mon-Fri and using 20 working days, that comes to 400 daily which is 200 to/fro. So the transport cost is reasonable. Was even surprised that it is that cheap to VI.

I must really salute you OP. Being a man and a father is not easy in this present day Nigeria.

Trying to cut down would be gradual. I'm a Christian and I will not discourage you from paying your tithe, because it's not your own.

With N90k left to be distributed into food, rent, school fees and running the home, let's take school fees. You may need to opt for a cheaper school and since they are 3, ask for discount on the 3rd and they should all be in same school.

Next is food. So some bull buying
However this will mean saving over a long time or if you get some allowances.

If you must use the GoTV, especially because of the kids, then opt for a cheaper bouquet like N1,200 or save a one off for a free to air dish.

Remember you need to have at least N5k for savings and or for investment. ( Paying yourself)

Adjusting downwards to this level will take almost a year. So encourage your wife to do something the support you. If already working, both of you should sit and discuss.

I forgot to mention the rent. From the account, seems like it's a 2 bedroom. If that is the case, you may need to switch to a one bedroom.

Bottomline is you just have to cut everything down according to your material which is your salary, while aiming for a better paying job.
