All I know is, when SAF was going to retire. It was Pep he went to talk to first about coaching United. But Pep being a man to honor contracts divulged to SAF that he had an agreement with City. Which is where David Moyes etc came from.

Even the SAF that you big up knows who is who.

They had won FA Cups in the 4 years leading to Sir Alex hiring. They were arguably better than the Liverpool Klopp took over

My point though is it took him 7 years to win a league title and along the way United had struggles too. He could have easily lost his job but ownership persevered.

This idea that he could do and undo and rebuild on the fly was because he was given time and sat on a club with sufficient financial muscle.

Comparing his situation to that of Klopp for me was just absurd and hence my response
