Awful because he was beaten by a freekick or what

Even in the best of form, Akpeyi has always been shaky for Nigeria. In the nations cup, he was giving us at least one error a match.

Let us not pretend as if it is one freekick mistake. E don tey.

Forget "I told u" gang abeg. He forgot that good defence helps a goal keeper to concede less. Ndi obi ojo

He is a good keeper. I have watched him play.

He definitely has potential and he is young.

I do not think he is ready for Nigeria first choice but we might need to throw him in.

Why is he not in the u20 or at most u23

He's not our solution to the GK crisis

He's not fantastic

not better than an average joe out there

does not have any average stats out there

Rohr picked him because he's oyinbo tall and plays in germany not minding the level

Na so we go learn the hardway so soon

I pray it won't be that expensive

Akpeyi has been known to be shaky, not new.
But no one can say he had a bad AFCON par the freekick.

Conceded fewer goals and saved us a lot

Get a better or equal replacement, not some rookie yet to see real football

Uzoho was far from ready when he was thrown in but we have seen his development since.

The likes of Ezenwa and Akpeyi are not the solution.

Bring in some young keepers home and abroad. In 2-3 years, we will see the benefits.

You think I've time for some misplaced emotional yadayada?

Football is life and death men.

Big money is involved.

People's livelihood is involved

Especially senior football

They have been lazy with GK scouting.

it's a known fact.

We deserve more than this

it's not too late though

I'm not interested in proving that I said so, because it gives me no superpower. A stitch in time meen

Akpeyi did not save us a lot at the AFCON. In fact, he was well protected.

Everytime, he made an error, there was defensive cover.

See as u rush post number of goals wey him Don concede this season, later abeg post clips of his best saves also.

Maduka Okoye is not in the super eagles to take over the number 1 shirt, he is not even the teams 2nd choice. He was suppose to be in the u20 world cup but was sidelined with injury which made him not to report to camp.

Get ur facts right before making any post. He is just 20 and the chances of him getting better in the future is there so stop hating on the kid and focus more on how to better your life

I'm with you but are you saying Okoye is the best of all new blood out there for us to pick from?

We have more than 150 football playing countries in the world with Nigerian GKs in at least 50 of them, let them give us a better Nigerian Gk.

Na so dem bring Ezenwa from inactivity and up till now has blocked the road for better GKs in the league

Now Okoye

Okay o

I am open to keepers in the league but we saw Afelokhai in Lome. He is supposed to be the best in the league.

Okoye is probably not the best but he is one option.

Stop being irrational and leave the kid alone to develop in his chosen career. I bet you that if he is the best goalkeeper in his league u will never post that here and if any did you will tag it he is playing in the 4th tier of German and doesn't deserve a mention. Free the boy to do his thing!

What did I say and what did you say that is different?

So which fact should I get right?

Hating for stating the fact?

Oga please I'm only talking to objective people on this thread.

Just pass if you don't belong to this group.

Any small thing the normal Nigerian yeye sentiment of hate crops up.

You must not be objective on this thread without being called a hater.

Some emotional guys will come calling you hater

Is he the best young Gks out there for us?

Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that at least three Premier League clubs will monitor highly-rated Golden Eaglets attacking midfielder Akinkunmi Amoo at the 2019 FIFA U17 World Cup.

Amoo's adviser Oliver Noah has opened talks with Manchester City, Arsenal and Watford over the possibility of signing the player who has drawn comparisons with Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi and is regarded as one of the top stars in the Golden Eaglets set-up.

Representatives from the three English clubs will run the rule over the Sidos Academy wonderkid in Brazil before making a final decision whether or not to sign him.

French agent Noah, who used to represent Watford's Isaac Success, has close links with Udinese, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain, and the Serie A and Ligue 1 clubs will watch the teenager in action at the World Cup.

Ajax Amsterdam are also tracking the midfielder; the injury he suffered at the U17 African Cup of Nations in Tanzanian prevented the Dutch powerhouse from thrashing out a preliminary contract with his minders.

Amoo was the second top scorer at the WAFU-UFOA B qualifiers with three goals and found the net against Tanzania during the U17 AFCON.

Former Chelsea goalkeeper Daniel Jinadu was rated highly by the Nigeria Football Federation following his debut against Japan on Sunday in the Golden Eaglets final friendly before their World Cup opener.

According to the match report published by the official website of the Nigerian Federation, the scoreline would have been greater in favour of the Asian opponents but for a brilliant display by the West Ham U18 star.

Here's what the NFF wrote about Jinadu : ''With Japan now having more of the ball possessions, they tried to break the defence of the Eaglets, but Daniel Jinadu, the teenage goalkeeper from West Ham United, England denied Tamura Sohki from giving Japan the lead in the 17th minute.

''Jinadu was again called to action with a world class save after he parried the shot from Tayata Shoji to a corner kick, the resultant corner kick was headed out of danger by Ikenna Ferdinand''.

Jinadu first trained with the Golden Eaglets in August 2019 and allnigeriasoccer.com can reveal that coach Manu Garba was forced to include him in the provisional squad by his chief scout Bunmi Haruna, who extensively scouted the goalkeeper before he was invited to the training camp in Abuja,

The 17-year-old is battling Sunday Stephen and Bournemouth Academy product Joseph Oluwabusola for a starting spot against Hungary.

@ ur first paragraph. .U are indirectly saying Aina should be ahead of Collins at LB..I don't disagree with that... But were u not the same person who said Aina was played out of position during the pre world cup friendlies? U gave that as an excuse for his exclusion from the team...Suddenly u are seeing him as a left back?

Aina is versatile but his first position is RB indeed l have been watching him play that position since he was 15.

I didn't see him as LB what I said is that if his preferred position is RB that's what he should be judged on and given opportunity to play in.

It's apparent that Collins though a natural left footed player is considerably below Aina in quality. At no time have I changed my view on Aina.

Forget the free kick akpeyi was always shaky and lack confidence, i told most of them here that so many goal keepers wont save that mahrez free kick, so am not judging by the freekick

We still have a goalkeeping Crisis. Please do not be deceived by our team and forwards’ decent form.

Uzoho is currently out. Do we we have a competent Nigerian that is able to man the posts?

We have 3 years until the next World Cup and a little under two years till the next AFCON.

The NFF and Rohr cannot screw this up!
