about the AD, i was asking for another family member going for study purposes also.
i’m going for a degree but i don’t have 100L transcript in a university in Nigeria yet, so i had to apply through the language program, so i went to the embassy with 2 admission letters, one from my language school in berlin, and my university in Jena. my interview went really well, and the VO kept asking “If i give you this visa, are you sure you’re coming back?”
and she also kept asking if i’m going to pass the language program.
i’m just confused. my interview went well, and we were even sharing jokes in the middle.

It could be the alien office that refused grin

See as she dey ask you whether you go come back. Before nko..
Maybe the language program you applied for nailed you
How you convinced the admission office to give you AL without transcript is story for another day

Many people are with you but have you enrolled? When is your deadline? These need to be considered to determine whether you get a date or not.

Done online yes. In person deadline is Nov 29 and they said they can’t extend. I cancelled my booking earlier this month and rebooked with December 1 as start date.

Hmm i see!

Thanks bro... That means guys going for language course or studentkolleg should try and avoid it because this two routes can be achieved either by enrolling in Goethe Institute in naija here or getting admitted in any Nigeria universities to acquire 100level transcripts before proceeding with this German waka....

i’m going to Berlin. i plan of funding this week and sending my appeal. i just need to know how to go about it

I heard that some cities will not attend to your application without Funding or SL, that is the reason why I ask if the city or school you are going to and it's like Berlin is among those cities. I wish you the best of luck as you appeal

How'd you get admission letter from Jena without transcript. And how come the vo was entertaining you?

He was also denied because there was no proof of funds though. And because of that they didn't check other requirements like I could see on the letter.

yeah proof of funds is the second reason, the first was “doubts about my study”. i plan on funding this week and sending an appeal to the embassy. i just need help on how to go about it. and the only prior german knowledge i have is from duolingo and online tutorials. That’s why i’m going for the language course first cos my course is being taught in german.

That might be another reason why you were denied, you didn't present any language certificate.

Anyway, there have been success stories about appealing and I wish you goodluck!.

Maybe you could try more to explain about your willingness to learn the language in Germany and how it will help you prior to studying the course.

People who do language programs like the one you got admission for, learn the language relatively fast and I find it cool.

Hmmm. You see, the ideal thing is that your AD should be 4-6 weeks from your enrolment deadline. And the earliest AD you can get to enable you meet up should be in October. But October and November is fully booked already.
So just weigh up all your options. Anything is possible sha.

Sorry about your rejection but truly there are a few red flags:
- No BSc/HND/100 level transcript and you applied for a course with German as Language of Instruction bypassing studenkolleg.
- Your language course is in Berlin and your admission in Jena
- No letter/mail from your school approving you to attend the language school first before resuming your studies.
- No prior German knowledge (Zertifikat from Goethe Institute)
The reason why I'm highlighting the red flags is so that you'll know how to package your appeal letter. Remember the embassy doesn't usually give visa for language courses since there is Goethe Institute in Nigeria, there have been a few exceptions but its usually from schools which give permission for you to attend the language course before resuming your actual studies.
So look at how you can close all the gaps and convince the embassy that your intentions are truly to study. All the best!!

hi sassy, the school actually approved the language course, i submitted it together with my other documents to the embassy.
and thank you. please when submitting the appeal, who do i address it to?! and do i need to include my international passport? or just the original documents they sent back?

There's a format with appeal letter, you can search the thread or contact those that have it. In your appeal letter, you need to address why you chose to apply for a language course before studies instead of going through studenkolleg. Also, you'll need to send all your original documents again. Try and fund before appealing, this is very important.

When I say fully booked I mean those dates have been issued out already but not sure if there are still any open slots. I know someone with AD of November twentysomething. So that means their quota might be filled up unless they make provision to accommodate more students.

I also never said you are not suffering it.

I'm only saying you are bound to use rope to tie your own neck a second time if you go ahead with your ill conceived plan. Lol
You think you are guru mahraji that can forsee into the future and perceive a congested Application for AD in winter?

See as you even jump to conclusion that AD congestion is normal.. are you yourself the embassy? Are you also aware dey have increased BA to 10236, are you also aware dey require evidence of full tuition at interview?

Be there forming smart till your shadow go run leave you again

Wow..

Please, what do you think is the chances of getting into University of Hamburg with a CGPA of 3.8?
Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by Luxiana19(f): 2:38pm On Oct 22, 2019
Hello guys. Please I wanted to find out if I can certify my documents (transcripts, english proficiency letter, uni certificate) , at a high court instead of german embassy?
Will it affect me later?
Is there a particular reason why people are hustling and going through stress to certify at the embassy when they can just do it at a high court? Like does certification at the embassy increase your chance of AM?
