Thegamingorca: May I ask how you came about this conclusion? Each course states its preferred mode of certification- court, notary public, German Consulate, etc. Unless certification from the German Consulate is explicitly required for the programme, it gives no advantage in the application process. The only factor I can think of is cost. The Embassy does not charge fees for certification of documents (maximum of 5 sets if I'm not mistaken). Prospective applicants should simply peruse their course websites, the accepted type(s) of certification should be stated clearly in most cases. 5 Likes 4 Shares |

Good afternoon all. Please my questions: 1) The person I want to use as my sponsor has permanent residency in Germany. Does it cover or must my sponsor be Germany citizen? 2) I am 31 and I wish to go for another degree in cyber security and not masters because I did not meet the requirements for M.Sc. in Cybersecurity, will i be granted Visa using the same sponsor as started above. Your opinion will be appreciated greatly. Thank you. 1 Like |

jazzyjay: 1. The sponsor must not be a citizen, just someone living and working legally in Germany. 2. It's not a big deal, your motivation letter must be top notch and you must be able to convince your VO why you're going for another B.sc 4 Likes |

NOTE: THIS IS NOT MY POST I SAW IT ON THE THREAD AS WELL.. ..This is what I can say, about appeal letters. 1. Appeal letter should come in a PDF attachment. 2. It should follow the format of a formal letter 3. Sign the letter. 4. Your grammar should be top notch and don't give room for mistakes (remember your capacity is already in doubt) 5. In the contents, write all the efforts you have made in order to start your studies, e.g the stress of application, attending of language school (if you did) 6. For the reasons why you choose Germany and the course, dont only emphasize on the cheap tuition, emphasise on the peculiar relationship between the course and your future plans. E.g when I was explaining my reasons for choosing the course I dug up the trends in the field here in Nigeria. Since mine emphasised on UNESCO buildings and natural heritage, I didn't just state general everyday facts, I told them that the state I was going to had 4 UNESCO sites, and Germany has 39 in total (with a right mix of both natural or man made sites) and the advantage is that It gives me the very rear advantage of learning about both phenomenon within a small geographic area, with a right mix of theory and practicals and this is not available any where else in the world! And Nigeria now has 12 sites on UNESCO tentative list, (she stopped, looked at me and ask me to say that again, and scribbled it down) I told her, that I actually have a lot of work to do, coming back because specialist in this field are scarce and by the time I'm through with the course, I would have a whole lot on my hands given that the course is NOT available in Nigeria or any where near to supply the needed man power to exploit the research required here or specialised Indigenous professionals who understand the system to take advantage of the opportunities. And the countries where its available in, its very expensive (I flinged different schools offering the course in one or two countries to her and gave their cost in comparism). Even the welcoming nods and smile, gave me the impression that I had done my assignment well. (Here, make sure you are more specific in your approach, play around with facts and statistics, (if you have back up proofs, fine.) 6. You may as well, chip in one or two external factors which could have made you not perform optimally, like stress, headache, you could even claim that you panicked, which was a thing that is rear to you in such situations and so your expressions of what you had in mind at that point was affected. 7. Don't lie, let your position and approach be as truthful as possible. 8. When you are submitting the appeal, send it as a reply to the mail that sent you the rejection, for easy reference s or always state you reference as the subject of your reply. 9. They may not acknowledge or reply your mail, but from what some had done, mail them to enquire about the status of your appeal, and you will get a reply from them that they have accepted it and that they are looking at it. 10. If there are additional documents to back up your claims, (ones not submitted prior to this time) you can attach as PDF and state it in the letter, what you have attached. Use links as proof when necessary. After you have done your part, take it to the lord in prayers! I hope you find this useful 43 Likes 9 Shares |

Glauben: Unlike court certifications and notary public, embassy certifications are accepted universally. For specific schools dat desire only embassy crested applications however, some unfortunate ppl may end up sending unverified documents or documents certified by notary public's to the same school out of stupendous drivel or perhaps to test the school authorities patience out of desperation to get AL. That's why I say it gives the applicant an advantage or edge in the admissions office of a school desiring such for AL |

rs172: As Sassy92 clearly pointed out, Ausbildung is like apprenticeship and it's not easy to get in developed countries because they are well paid, so their citizens rush into it. The chance of a non-permanent resident getting Ausbildung is slim Also, you can't get an Ausbildung if your German level is not up to at least B1 and it depends on the kind of Ausbildung you are looking for. Prost. 5 Likes 1 Share |
