Good evening. Been I while I posted here. Landed in Germany on sunday and lectures have been hectic. Image hearing you only have two weeks lectures for 2 courses and exam is in 3 weeks, even after I have missed 1 week. Anyways, all is well, we go read and pass. I just want to use this opportunity to tell new applicants to take German classes seriously o. Learn it anyhow you can. Youtube, Duolingo, memrise. Just be learning it anyhow. Even if its only Wasser and Brot you can say. I am taking Free school German class and the lecturer is not even speaking English. But I am catching up because of Duolingo and Memrise. Wishing everyone the best. Cheers! 19 Likes 3 Shares |

Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by Slip(m): 8:17pm On Oct 22, 2019 |
Why not just do research on www.daad.de and www.study-in-germany.de for your intended master course. Go to their website to get their cgpa requirements and others... You may mail the courses coordinators or international office for any enquiries. No one can categorically state that your cgpa can get you admitted to your intended German courses we don't even know about.... But there are people with that cgpa that got admitted in the past with either relevant experience or top notch motivation letter....So do more research... shinkszee01: |

belladonna9392:. This is what I know about this school. Application to be submitted via post, you will print an application form on there website and immediately they receive your application the international office will request for 50Euro as assessment fees, without this fee they will not process your application and admission is not automatic mind you, you do not need Any English test or English language letter for admission to this school as a Nigerian. Good luck. 8 Likes 1 Share |

Good day nairalanders, I am new to this most informative platform. I have since updated myself thus far. I have share in the excitement of those who commenced and completed successfully this journey to deutschland and I have also felt and expressed my sympathy to those who had a setback in form of rejection. May the almighty bless our effort and aid the actualization of our aspirations. I applied for a research fellow visa. I have my contract letter, hosting agreement and invitation letter. I Intended to apply to a phd in Germany but got an offer at research institute in Germany, hence my application for a student visa cat A which covers same. Initially I intended in applying for a work Visa since I will be employed at the institute while I work towards my phd but the appalling time lag for Ad (1year) warranted a change in application category with the approval of the institute ofcourse. I applied for the student visa cat A in Sept 5, to be precise after reading through this thread , I realised I should have a calender view where am availed date and time preferable to me in respect to the my resumption date on my offer letter so I cancelled and re applied on the 27th of Sept. In an effort to fast track I wrote the student@diplo.de email attaching my hosting agreement letter, invitation letter and contract letter stating my inability to access the calender view on my application page for an appointment. I got a reply to that email on 8th of October. Please find the message below for your perusal Dear Sir / Madam, please send us your passport copy so we can look into your enquiry. Sincerely yours, Visa Section (AE) Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany Lagos 15, Walter Carrington Crescent Victoria Island, Lagos Federal Republic of Nigeria Tel.: +234-1-280 99 66 Fax: +49 30 1817 67232 I responded immediately with my passport. However, I am yet to get a feedback from the visa office with regards to an appointment date. My employer in germany seems disturbed about the delay in processing cause the initial resumption date on my letter stated October 1. But when I forwarded the email of the consulate stating appointment application has been successful please refrain from enquiry, exact appointment date would be sent 2-3months in advance. He chilled. I want to ask if all is in order or I have to make additional efforts in any regards . I must say I am fagged waiting. Do I cancel and reapply again? or Do I wait patiently?. I cant really tell if all is within wait period or it is taking too long. I need to categorically request aid cause I haven't come across any research fellow transcript. Please ideas, comments and queries are welcomed God bless us all. My sincere regards. 5 Likes |

Does it mean that if the school pops up on the anabin site it means its recognised. sassy92: |

Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by rs172(m): 10:21pm On Oct 22, 2019 |
Chuksraymond: Your school popping up is just a prerequisite, next to the name of your school, if it shows h- that means it is not recognised but if shows h+ that means it is, then again if shows h+/h- that means they'll have to evaluate your degree for a decision |

Thewizardof0zil:Sorry mate, Hope you find help in this. How To Appeal for a Student visa rejection. 1. Translate your rejection letter and know exactly why you were rejected, The most common rejection is " Doubt Travel purposes“ and that’s usually as a result of a bad remark from your VO, could also be caused by having inconsistent documents. 2. Draft points that tackle the reason you were rejected. Do not fill up your appeal with why you love Germany and why you love this course and what It would do for you in future.. that’s a waste it’s all in your motivation letter. Your Appeal letter should be simple but noteworthy. if you have doubts of Travel intentions, you Talk about the course and the admission, plans you are making in preparation for this course.., EG, preliminary courses/books you are to read and have read also add how it would define your career as so so , the admission selection process (if it is restricted you can add that to your benefit).. this is better when fitted into one or two paragraphs . Don’t waste your appeal by repeating your motivation letter and adding more things. 3. Write down an organized appeal, (Typed for better clarity). Subject should be Letter of Appeal on Visa Application, your address top right, embassy’s would be at the left hand side. First paragraph should be the introduction consisting of your Details type of visa/ visa ref/Passport number/DOB/AD/Rej date.. Second paragraph should highlight why you were rejected 3rd paragraph should be for the points you’ve drafted to appeal against the rejection decision Then the next paragraph can be followed with furthermore you are in the process of getting accommodation/applied through studentwerk and also getting a travel health insurance, then you state the attached files added to the appeal eg i have attached my SL/BA ,an email for my course advisor , your language School confirmation/admission etc, depends on the files you are attaching .... and then end with ”thank you as I await a Favouable response from you”, it doesn’t have to be the same words, hope you get the picture. Yours sincerely then your name under 4. Print your appeal and sign with the date (around the yours sincerely part). Scan the appeal and Save the PDF. Gather all supporting documents, I’d advise you to appeal with proof of funds, and email from your course advisor acknowledging you are a prospective student of the institution, New enrollment deadline, email from the university explaining the type of admission and what it entails (if it’s a conditional admission), rental contract from studentwerk in your university . Emails from the university welcoming you to their unnecessary programs, etc.. all these things matter, they are all supporting documents, it proves that you are a student and you want to go study. 5. Combine your Appeal and all the supporting documents as a single PDF. Let your appeal be at the top. (This would make the job less hectic for the person viewing your appeal) Send it to the German embassies email: info@lago.diplo.de (They See every Mail that gets in here no doubt) Email subject can be as simple as " Letter of Appeal" You can also send it by post to the embassy with supporting documents all printed out if you have the money and time.. IMO the Email is more effective, before they start working on physical document especially appeals , it might take weeks. Cause they sort incoming parcels, and the top priority are people sending their packages for Visum the rest are kept aside in most cases , some might be lucky 6. Do not send your original documents back to them, this is a no no!... anything document you submitted at the embassy during your interview, do not send it back with your appeal even as supporting documents, only exemption can be your proof of funding. You are actually disobeying their rules if you send back original documents and it could lead to further rejection. They have photocopies of every original they sent back to you and that is what they work with and send to the alien office, before sending back your original documents, they verified all photocopies were same as originals and that is what they need for processing. 7. You have done your part, now pray and leave the rest to God. After a week you can send a reminder mail if you haven’t gotten feedback, the reminder mail should quote your appeal, just incase. If you do not get feedback email from them, do not panic .. I have seen situations where persons got no feedback email and their appeal was processed, Now they’ve got AM/Visum I do not work in embassy, neither am I an agent, so I won’t entertain questions relating to such. This is all i can say from my day to day experiences and hope it meets anyone who is in need as well. Danke zusammen 52 Likes 11 Shares |
