A young Nigerian man identified as Eniola narrates his experience with some officers of Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) that harassed and extorted him.

Eniola, a Youth Corp Member serving in Lagos was harassed by men of the Nigeria police and was forced to path with a 110k (all of his savings) before being released.

SARS brutality needs to end, they are not useful to Nigerians, they harass innocent people and help criminals, they are just armed robbers in uniform.

Survival tips for this situation
1. Never use an atm with the account that holds your savings
2. If you have to be extorted, insist you can only transfer, that would be a strong evidence.
3. Always try to identify the policemen by their names, station attached to or their vehicle number
4. Create a story about the money being used to save a life. Last las, give them like only 20k.
Pray this never happens to me though. But as a corper, this is a very good case. He can report the case then apply for redeployment to avoid backlash

I was on a business trip once, a SARS officer asked me to come for searching. He took my phone, checked it, found nothing dubious. Instead of him to free me he still tried to extort me.

Me, I'm a 100% legit hustler and I'm never going to bribe any police. God forbid. I spend hours day and night seeking clients and working to ensure I meet deadlines yet one MIB wants to collect money from me like that, just like that? Say wetin? Say you wear black and I wear white?

The next thing he said is: You're a fraudster! And I'll handcuff you. What are you doing with 6 Gmail accounts? See, I'm a graduate of UniBen and i graduated in **** when you were still in secondary school. So don't try to play games with me.

I swear, the thing pain me ehn. Ordinary 6 Gmail account. Each Gmail is for a unique hustle. As Yoruba people say: one road no enter market. I dey blog, design website, do gis, do graphic design, do arabic-english translation.

Upon all the wahala, I never be millionaire. One SARS one dey ayaj me. Lai Lai, ko le posibu.

I para for the guy, with respect. Sir! blah blah blah. Sir! how can you.....

When he see say shingbain no go drop from this one and he no geh skeleton for cupboard, the guy free me.

Moral of the story, stay clean. If you're clean you'll have confidence to stand against even EFCC.
Also, avoid disrespectful speech even when you're right.

I think the main issue here is that the authorities have turned blind eye to the many attrocities perpetuated by these people.

I remember when Osibanjo gave them a directive on their modus operandi, but they ignored it and still go ahead to inflict pains on the hapless masses.

There are bad cops everywhere even in America, but the system deals decicively with erring officers which serve as deterrent to others.

But in Nigeria, the Authorities have turned deaf ears and this menace have continued unabated.

So the government headed by PMB should be held accountable and responsible for allowing Nigerians to be subjected to this toture, extortion, blackmailing andTrump up charges on innocent People through uniform men.
