I grossly underestimated the depth of this Clippers team.

Anthony Davis showed once again his lack of Alpha dog mentality. It's the 4th quarter, you're supposed to be the most skilled, most versatile, a top 5 guy and this ninja was waiting on Bron. Can now see why he didn't go to Boston. You can have skills and finesse but the heart is clearly lacking

LeBron needs more help, maybe Kuzma could be that 3rd guy . Anthony Davis has always been overrated. I hope for Lebron' s sake I am wrong though. LeBron got what he wanted, at least the bottom line. The new narrative will be Kawhi has a lot of help, they even took the might golden state to 6 games.

The clippers are without Paul George BTW so really good showing from them. We knew they were going to be good because they're very close to full potential so its up to the lakers to keep improving. I still maintain the lakers have a higher ceiling than them.

The lakers have a lot of work to do as far as figuring out their rotation. Most difficult thing is most of their shooters are streaky, so its hard to know who has a hot hand on any given night and who doesnt. Hopefully the more consistent shooters reveal themselves as the season go by, obviously danny green will get his minutes but everyone else is replaceable though daniels and dudley have looked good so far.

There were glimpses of their defensive potential and it was refreshing to see lebron be engaged defensively but that second quarter was embarrassing. Definitely cost them the match. Why would you put KCP on Kawhi? The man is hopeless, supposed to be a 3 and D guy but he cant sink a shot to save his life and his defense is shambolic, we get that hes the "Rich Paul Tax" but that doesnt mean that convict has to play.

The worst aspect of the game was definitely their offense, i know rondo isnt the most popular guy amongst the lakers fan base but he would have been really helpful with shot creation. And lebron needs to stop trying to force feed AD and we need more of their pick and roll action moving forward. They will sort out their roles as the season progresses. I'm really not worried about them, they are too talented not to work out except if father time really is knocking on lebrons door. I've seen him play like this before and hes always bounced back so lets hope its just another "feel out game". The bench is what i'm more worried about, they got outscored 60-19, that is just putrid. Lets hope a lot of that is down to guys figuring out their role and lets hope kuzma can help with that second unit.

Its a marathon not a sprint. Cant stress how excited i am that the NBA is back.

The Lakers are limited in their bench scoring and while they have the length to shrink the floor defensively, it does not spread the floor offensively for them because they lack perimeter scoring.

AD is talented like I said he has all the gifts but you can't teach heart. I expect the Lakers and AD to bounce back.

However I have watched AD long enough to know mentally he's just not that guy in the clutch. There is still time to prove me wrong though. But look at a limited baller like Montrezl and how hard he went in the 4th and look at AD.
