Hello, my Canadian family members, when is the right time to start gathering documents especially reference letters, pre ITA or post ITA?

We are not the first group of people to call out AVO, people have done it before now and it has yielded results. Why should my reason for taking an action be bacause I'm comparing myself with someone else, or you feel it's fine for people to keep waiting for as long as 15-18 months or even more and not do anything? Let's see if you keep this same level of energy if you're still waiting this time next year for a decision to be made. Just as I am free to be a part of the Twitter callout, you're also free to do nothing and ignore us. Bye

No problem.

Please know that AVO is a visa office just like OVO so they'll get a share of the workload. Just because an application is in AVO does not mean it has any fault, my application was sent there as part of workload distribution your notes will let you know why you're in AVO.
johnnybravo1990:

Even if my application will take 2 years, so be it. Whenever it will come, it will come. Use discretion is all I’m saying. Don’t make them get pissed and force them use an iron hand on us. They can get super-pissed and deal with the applicants. They can punitively decide to spot even minute errors and deny many people their applications. We all know no application is perfect, and applications sent to AVO had one fault or the other; that was the reason most of the applications were sent there. When people(AVO personnel) are under pressure, the more you bug them, the more they get crazy and may overreact.

Hello guys, I just wrote my IELTS and I got W 6.5, R 7.5, S 7.5, L, 8.5. I am about to do my WES but I know my IELTS is low. Should I go ahead and create an EE profile then rewrite IELTS to boost my CRS or should I rewrite the Exam first? With I have a BSC I'm 25 and My FSW is above 67.

I saw my result today and intend applying for EOR on Monday. Please is it compulsory to submit the original test report form along with the EOR request.

No it's not compulsory. But I think you should still go with it if you can.
It is when the EOR result comes out changed that they'd request for you to submit the old/original test report form.

I think we should tread with caution. Getting PPR as well as getting it on time is a privilege and not a right. I can understand that as humans, we tend to compare our progress with that of others, but we should know that people have different destinies and futures. Going online to call out AVO on Twitter is not a good idea. CIC and all its visa offices own the yam and the knife; they can decide to cut on the yam anywhere they deem fit. While AVO applicants wait, please savour the moment and experience. That’s what makes life interesting actually: your unique stories, your ups and downs, the joys and the sadness, the unpredictability and the thrills in it. Let AVO do their job at any speed they are capable of.

This shows you are a Nigerian. Scared of challenging the authority even for what you know is right. Applications take 6 months, asking that they step up is not haram. You can enjoy waiting but others that don't want to will take initiative and draw attention to their plight. You trend issues to draw attention.

You can't enter the pool without an ECA. Sort that first while you decide when to rewrite IELTS.

Same time last year..Accra was like this and no amount of Twitter or petition will change anything. I wonder why they are delaying but as soon as they are ready...it will rain PPR and we will rejoice with everyone.

These things are discretionary. There are a lot of things to factor. Like how long will it take me to get my docs knowing where I live, worked or work.. Etc. Everything is not a question on Naira land. It's getting out of hand.

if i may ask you, why not remark your writing? if you have extra cash book another test too. let both ielts and wes be processed simultaneously, non would disturb each other. Abeg remark ooo don't dull.

It actually did change something. During the last push on April, it rained PPR almost immediately from Accra. These things work. I'm sure people are doing this to make sure they are actually working...not just delaying like Civil servants.

You need the result of your ECA/WES to be able to create a profile. When you get it, Create a profile with the ielts result is it will give you an edge during draws. Cos the date and time of entering the pool matters. Then work on a new result and update the scores. Until the ECA is ready, you can't create. Also, I doubt a BSc without more can fetch you ITA these days. You need a boost.

Hello guys, I just got Barron's IELTS sixth edition textbook and i am preparing for General IELTS exam. Please will the Barron's IELTS help me?

Look for Liz paid videos. Do some tests online. Use Cambridge reading samples. Go to the YouTube search for Jay and all. If you can't, use Barrons but I've not seen testimonies from Barron's.

For a friend:
Ielts scores- 8.5 L, 8.5 R, 7W, 8S

Education: MSC, Bsc
Age: 27
Work exp: 3yrs.

She tried filling up for EE, she got a message she's not legible for EE.

What could be wrong

A. Choose the NOC that fits well with your job duties instead of job title

B. If your salary was written in words I think it can be overlooked as typo error or you just attach a LOE to affirm the correct salary.
intrinsicniyi:
Hello Beautiful People,
(a). One of my work experience was working as a Piping Engineer. I looked through the NOC but the most closely related NOC are as follows:

▪︎ NOC 2148 (other professional engineer) and Piping Engineering wasn't listed.

▪︎ NOC 2132 (Mechanical Engineers). This actually has a sub-title for Piping Engineering.

PLEASE, which NOC should I pick in this case?

(b) There is a little mistake in one of my other employer reference. In the early paragraph, another zero was mistakenly added to my salary. However, in another paragraph of the letter, the salary was "correctly stated". Getting another reference letter would be a draconian task for me. What can I do in this case? Should I just leave it that way or write a letter of explanation?

Thanks as I welcome people's advice/comments on this.
