Hello Thanks for talking some time to hear me out.

All my life I've been the hustling type, no retreat no surrender.
I saved my first 600k and I got a series of advice about what to do with it.

My mother advised me to buy land with it and as the saying goes "honour thy father and thy mother" I decided to give it a shot.

I bought a quarter 30 by 60 piece of land for 350 thousand naira in December 2018 and paid 50 thousand naira for foundation in February 2019.
He told us the land belongs to a woman and even called her on phone to negotiate the price. From 400 to 350.

I bought blocks for foundation, sharp and soft sand too. I came back a few days later to start work and found out that another person has built on the land..
The person who sold it to me who happens to be a middle man and also the son of the late chief of the community son informed me that it was the brother of the landowner who forcefully took the land and built on it and they have promised to return our money.

After that he took me to 3 other 30 by 120 lands and told me to add money so I can take any one of them instead but something tells me not to accept until I see refund for the first pay payment 400 thousands total.

Now it's been 8 months and December will make it a year I paid for the land and I haven't seen my money.. I later discovered the land belongs to a man and the person I paid to only delivered 200k to the owner and kept 200 for himself.
Also the owner after collecting the 200k went ahead and sold the land again and did not refund my money..

The materials I bought are in front of the place while rain keeps washing it off day by day.

My mother has been going around disturbing and calling them out and they even made threats on her life saying she lives alone and they know where she lives..

I don't even know what to do cause I'm frustrated right now, this is my life's savings, and recently I impregnated a lady which in turn made me a married man with mouths to feed in this harsh economy "400k plus my wasted materials makes it 500 thousand plus
Wasted"

I've always wanted to go to the police but the threats and being aware that the Nigerian police only cares about money made things worse, they will only drag it here and there and let them go.

This happened in Ijoko Ogun state.

Please help me if you can.

did you sign any agreement when you paid for the land? or contract of sales, and any evidence of payment?

Yes I have everything from bank statement to handwritten statements..

I kept asking for the original documents before the whole hullabaloo, all he does is give an excuse and make a promise
