Hello Nairalanders, Please guys, I need current info on the following: 1. What is current fee for a standard 6 months visit visa application? 2. What is current fee for a priority service? 3. Will submitting my application at the VAC in Lagos or Abuja attract another fee? If so, how much? Thank you very much great people! |

Suuz: That's not true sir. It's father and child and their documents were scanned together, the child is still a minor with just birth certificate and school fees receipt, how is now possible for it to be treated by different eco |

Hello House, Please my husband and I applied for 6months UK visa. I have previously gone to the UK quite a number of times before I married but my husband hasn’t gone. He did the ‘Keep My Passport’ option because he had to travel for work. Now my visa is out and I just submitted his passport based on their request to submit. But it kills me to still not know of the application has been successful or not. The email was very vague about that. Please I want to know if anyone has been in his shoes before and wasn’t still granted the visa. Thanks |

Please house, what should I do? Biometric : 19th Sept. Concluded: 4th |

Good day all, so I applied for UK visa may, 2019,after about 5months I got an email from UKVI that they had issue with my biometrics, that I should withdraw my application and I'll get a refund or I should go ahead for a review if I'm not satisfied with their response. I sent a complaint email stating how dismayed I was with their service and what refund they want to make? Are they going to refund my time and all the calls I've made? My going and coming to tls all the time to check my application status? So I got this email today, dunno what to respond..

Juliansamuel: Were the passports packaged together? NO! I’m sure it wasn’t so the application has been done individually. Read up this thread to get more enlightened. |

tmoneyluvsu: The refund of the total cost of transportation, e-mail and phone calls during the waiting period will not be enough to justify your experience. However, I will advice you not to play the hard card. Just withdraw the application and reapply. Let them know your grievances while you express your willingness to let the whole process be a thing of the past. On the other hand, you can consult an immigration Lawyer for an advice on how to sue them (but does it worth it?). Cheers. |

[/quotei I have read part 1-4 . I still don't believe it is done individually because their documents were mixed and scanned together, even if passports aren't in the same pack cos it's d dad's documents that will determine the fate of the child's visa because child is still a minor. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Suuz: 9:30pm On Oct 25, 2019 |

You asked a question and you are arguing, if you read part 1 to 4, didn’t you see where a parent’s passport was out weeks before the child’s passport? or didn’t you see when the parents were given and child refused despite the child using his parent’s documentation? Please don’t ask questions that you aren’t ready to accept the answer. EVERY child uses his parent’s documentation during visa application but the application is always treated separately. P.S- The dad’s document doesn’t totally determine the child’s fate, the child also has his own documentation like his school admission letter, school fees receipt, letter from the child’s school, birth certificate, consent letter from the mother if the child is traveling with his father only. If any of these vital document isn’t part of the child’s application, the child will be refused. If you knew the answer to your question, why come on Nairaland to ask in the first place. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by giselle237: 4:02am On Oct 26, 2019 |
JulianSamuel surely you would have read instances where parents were given entry clearance and the child/children were denied and the parent came on here to ask if further documents should be presented and which of such documents. or instances where visa of the father was out but the family was still waiting for a long time on the visa for the child and mother to be out... this highly suggests that maybe not the same officer handled all the applications. This kindly suggests you just spoke without reading this part 4 sef. 1 Like |

giselle237: You're not also getting the fact that the same exo can handle it and decide not to give one of them for certain reasons or circumstances, you aren't also getting the fact that d same ECO can still handle it and decide to make further investigations on one of them thereby releasing the ones he or she is satisfied with. For your correction,i have read every single part more than once. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by giselle237: 6:03am On Oct 26, 2019 |
if you might also be working as a visa officer and know all these then there’s no need asking the very 1st question you raised initially.... this is wat you asked “Pls house, I still wanna ask. Why is it that when a family of like 2 or 3 apply especially family with kids sometimes their passports don't come out d same time? mind you, they did walk in, meaning they did biometrics same time.“ You said they are making further investigations that u know, same you again is asking us Juliansamuel: 1 Like |

giselle237:Confusion everywhere. Moving away from this. A friend applied for a visitor visa earlier this month and intends to travel in December. Will the ECO issue a six months visa starting from when he finishes reviewing the application or the period when the travel is to occur? Also, are there any implications if the person defers the trip to February after getting the visa? I got a tier 2 visa and we are expected to travel within 30 days. Does the expectation to travel within 30days also apply to visitor visa? |

@justwise I need your advice, my company wants to sponsor my visit for a conference in London next month, they will pay for the accommodation, feeding and travel expenses, my question is, I cannot be given the company statement of account as it is classical information, how can I show they are going to sponsor the trip? |

badboy92: In that case you need to submit a letter from your company and the company hosting the conference in the UK which has to contain details of the conference. Letter from your company has to state how the conference is related to the company and the work you do for the company. You have to submit your employment letter, payslips and salary account |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by bigtt76(f): 7:46pm On Oct 26, 2019 |
Better you go for a review so your biometrics can be recaptured since it's no fault of yours. Requesting a refund would only cover the cost of your application not your other expenses except you can provide a receipt to cover those expenses and related them to the visa application. tmoneyluvsu: |
