I do not know how to continue.

WES says verification has been sent to my school - Unilag since 3 weeks ago but my contact there keeps saying it has not dropped.

What could be the issue? Who experienced and surpassed this hurdle?

I have the same issue, and I don't know what next to do. Can someone please help us pass this stage.

Any preparation source can help for other listening reading or speaking, but for writing, you may need someone to review your writing samples and give you tips if need be before you enter the hall.
Please can you recommend anyone for that.

All you have to do is raise a CSE to inform IRCC about change in your status. check under FAQ on page 1 for details on how to add spouse post-AOR.
she would be required to do PCC and Medicals, You will have to update your POF for family of 2. thats all you need to do

Dear @johnnybravo1990 , I observe with studied silence the way some of us display some exuberances on forum like this. Maturity sometimes take a lot of things away. People don't understand what this journey entails. It's a privilege and not a right. How do you force a man to open the gate to his house for you even though he sent you an invite to his party?

I joined this platform since the days of the oldies - @Ifeoma77 etc and I'm careful what I throw here and there except it's useful. I'm 8 months post AOR today and I still have my peace. What can I do? Worry more? Nooo. I noticed you display similar maturity in your post and engagement helping people with ielts issues et al. I'd love to but my schedule will not.

On a last note, people should note these threads are being monitored by VOs of countries of interest! That's why you see MODS hunting down those posting rubbish and scam. I personally read a thread where US visa officers in Nigeria barged into a thread and apologized for barging in and responded to a guy who says he was looking for Yankee visa bla bla bla. Guess what, the officer apologized for barging into the thread and said they've seen his post on another thread where he said once he gets a top notch visa, he won't come back to Naija. He ended by saying, if they could see through his intent on Nairaland, the same way the VO at the interview window will see through his lies. This is just to underscore the point they monitor various fora. It's a US visa thread and I'll try and search for it again.

Sometimes in life, good things takes time and everyone has their path to take. That someone got to Canada before you doesn't mean they will do better than you and vice versa.

Our path may look alike, our destinations are different

Patience is a virtue!

johnnybravo1990:

I think we should tread with caution. Getting PPR as well as getting it on time is a privilege and not a right. I can understand that as humans, we tend to compare our progress with that of others, but we should know that people have different destinies and futures. Going online to call out AVO on Twitter is not a good idea. CIC and all its visa offices own the yam and the knife; they can decide to cut on the yam anywhere they deem fit. While AVO applicants wait, please savour the moment and experience. That’s what makes life interesting actually: your unique stories, your ups and downs, the joys and the sadness, the unpredictability and the thrills in it. Let AVO do their job at any speed they are capable of.

This is not true. If you follow ircc on twitter you will see they operate on a bureacratic level that even PR in Canada are complaining. They take their time to process applications wither PR, PRTD, ETA etc. Yes, they have suggested timelines but it's not cast. There's a caveat it keeps changing. Comparing AVO to OVO will not work as they are staffed differently according to them and they have different priorities. I understand processing PR applicantions is not the main priority of any VO. It's additional. They have economic, political and other interests they pursue first. If it weren't, they should be happy making more money from these fees we paid!

It's gruelling, even for me clocking 8 months today; but I know this too shall pass....

Somaris:

This shows you are a Nigerian. Scared of challenging the authority even for what you know is right. Applications take 6 months, asking that they step up is not haram. You can enjoy waiting but others that don't want to will take initiative and draw attention to their plight. You trend issues to draw attention.

this is defeatist mindset. Change only occurs when people refuse to accept the status quo. The demand for change today can lead to revamping of that visa office.

Have you explored the much talked about Unilag programme that gives thesame score as masters. 2021/2022 is a long but time and anything can happen before then. Also please rethink the PNP option its just a matter of patience and having the right information. I sincerely wish you all the best and hope your dream of relocating to cannyland come true. All the very best. I feel your pains.

]Good morning everyone. I guess this is the point I have to step back and pursue a masters degree cry I have used the best ielts scores and I still didn't reach the cut off point with my bsc. A friend advised I just do it like that since I scored above 400, he said I'd get a PNP nomination. I am not fully convinced about that, but with two years of masters degree, I would be able to save more money, read more about the program and pass my ielts in flying colours.
I wish y'all the best. See you here in 2021/2022![/quote]

With this comment Dear Tina26.
Are you in support of johnnybravo's motion? Cos it doesn't look like you are.
Meanwhile, if I may understand the guys point of view, he's only saying johnybravo shouldn't condemn people's reaction against AVO.
HE doesn't like the delay as well but he is imbibing patience as a virtue.
I don't think that kind of mindset is defeatist.

for your ielts focus more on ielts reading. Comprehension and interpretation . They are both 7 and 8 months gone in a VO that averages 14 months instead of 6. And see it as normal.80% of applications are processed in 6 months according to cic. But in avo its more like 1% is processed in 6 months
