you won't feel relevant in Africa scheme of things until Nigerians talk about you, nobody knew Kenya before they started twitter war with Nigerians. They try very hard to be among the big boys (Nigeria , Egypt, south Africa).

Only 4 states in Nigeria have more population, cities, money, GDP and every positive things you can think of than the entire Kenya. (Lagos, river state, kano state and akwa ibom).

Do you know that if you add all eastern African countries together Nigeria will still be more than them.

Don't forget Nigeria ethnic groups basically own Benin Republic, Togo(Yoruba's), Cameroon, Niger, Guinea, chad etc(Hausa Fulani). Now imagine if you add them to Nigeria population.

Now go to every country in the world, the only people you'll see are 90% Nigerians.

Kenya's should keep blabbing their mouth, I'm just glad we are buying them gradually, very soon we'll start contesting in elections and winning positions in their country just like how we did in USA, Canada, uk

True, the only thing Kenyans can't challenge you, is your big population that is full of illiteracy, poverty, poor health care, poor infrastructure, shortest life expectancy, highest child mortality rate.... Etc

Kenya at a Glance

UNICEF Kenya/2009/d'Elbee
© UNICEF Kenya/2009/d'Elbee
Kenya is a country of many contrasts, from its landscape to demographics, and more so its social and economic inequalities. Kenya is one of the most unequal countries in the sub-region. Forty two percent of its population of 44 million, live below the poverty line.

Access to basic quality services such as health care, education, clean water and sanitation, is often a luxury for many people. Large segments of the population, including the burgeoning urban poor, are highly vulnerable to climatic, economic and social shocks. As such, progress on the Millennium Development Goals, especially in regards to social security, is mixed.

In 2010, Kenya enacted a new Constitution that specifically addresses longstanding historical, geographic, demographic and human rights violations that have hindered progressive development. Under the new dispensation, power was devolved from the National Government to 47 newly decentralized counties. Three years later Kenyans conducted fairly peaceful elections to vote in the National and County Government with expectations for equitable resource allocation and accountable service delivery. For UNICEF Kenya, this ultimately translates into the realization of all children’s rights regardless of their social or economic status.

UNICEF Kenya County Child Deprivation Index
However, historical patterns of inequity mean that there are also specific challenges. Based on analysis of inequities, UNICEF has identified the major deprivation issues that children face especially in already ‘disadvantaged’ counties. In order to realize the greatest results for children it is crucial to focus additional support to planning, budgeting and service delivery.

On another front, Kenya continues to face humanitarian challenges, particularly the presence of over 500,000 refugees from Somalia and 30,000 new arrivals from South Sudan. In June 2011, Kenya faced formidable hurdles with the Horn of Africa drought that left 3.75 million Kenyans and 150,000 refugees mostly from Somalia, in need of humanitarian assistance. UNICEF and partners responded effectively to this emergency bringing the humanitarian crisis largely under control. However, significant challenges still remain as a result of the 2011 refugee influx, increasing insecurity and ongoing food insecurity.

Then the Russians agreed to help the construction of the Ajaokuta-kaduna-kano gas pipeline which will create over 5000MW of electricity for Nigeria they also agreed to invest in Nigeria's refineries to increase their oil production and stop the importation of fuel

As well as this they signed a 500 million dollar deal to create a light rail in kaduna state which is currently doing an urban renewal with a private Chinese company and this project will cost them 2.5 billion dollars

Finally Nigeria signed a deal for wheat production and putin said that they would teach thousands of Nigerian farmers the best farming practices for wheat and barley so Nigeria can become the largest domestic producer of wheat in Africa just so you know Russia is the largest producer of wheat in the world

South Africa also signed a military deal to get some of the world's biggest military bombers which could carry out a nuclear strike they have already been delivered.

Delusion from the world poverty capital

These niggers are using 75% of their revenue to pay debts....

Muhammad Sanusi II, the Emir of Kano, has raised the alarm over unfavourable economic policies leading the country to bankruptcy, urging President Muhammadu Buhari to remove the fraudulent subsidy regime.

Sanusi, who was former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, made the revelation on Tuesday while speaking at the ongoing 3rd National Treasury Workshop organized by the office of the Accountant General of the Federation holding in Coronation Hall, Government House, Kano.

He said, “The country is bankrupt and we are heading for bankruptcy. What happened is that the federal government do pay petroleum subsidy, pay electricity tariff subsidy, and if there is a rise in interest rates, Federal Government pays.
Since I have decided to come here, you have to accept what I have said here. And please, if you do not want to hear the truth, never invite me.

“So let us talk about the state of public finance in Nigeria. We have a number of very difficult decisions that we must make, and we should face the reality. His Excellency, the President said in his inaugural speech that his government would like to lift 100 million people out of poverty, it was a speech that was well received not only in this country but the world-wide.

“The number of people living with poverty in Nigeria are frightening. By 2050, 85 percent of those living in extreme poverty in the world will be from the African continent. And Nigeria and the Democratic Republic of Congo will take the lead.

“Two days ago, I read that the percentage of the government's revenue going to debt services has risen to 70 percent.

Any way tell me more about that Kaduna urban renewal plan....I have heard about it

They are going to rehabilitate thousands of roads in the metropolis than they will line the streets with trees and build 5 new shopping malls

They will then move to develop kaduna millennium city across the kaduna River they will build roads, street lights etc and they will build a 5 star hotel in kaduna as well with this they expect more companies to come to kaduna and now they are building a railway as well

They also transformed a field that was called gamji Park into a Waterpark called splash park they hav opened phase 1 when it is completed at phase 3 it will be the biggest Waterpark in west Africa and maybe Africa outside of South Africa

Any in other news SUFFERInSMILIIN well I happened to have heard some good news from Ibadan all those roads that you were showing pictures if well the government has set up a waste disposal company there will be no more trash on ibadan roads and they have started building drainages everywhere let me show you what they did to a road in ibadan in two hours.

My only problem with them is that outside Kigali (Kigali city centre to be precise) the rest part of the country is a bit uninspiring

Don't start acting like Kenyan companies own Kenya most of those companies are probably owned by Indians please just stop with your lies honestly the other day one of you was bragging saying companies have their headquarters in Kenya Unilever and nestle were part of that but your saying to me that foreign companies are taking over

China is a good example thousands in fact hundreds of thousands of foreign companies have set up their factories and companies there does it mean that they are controlled or the market is being taken over by foreign companies no it just means they were good at attracting foreign direct investments so they chose to set up their companies there and that is the case for Nigeria

The Nigerian border closure has actually been a blessing waiting to happen. Ghana is actually the second or first biggest casualty in this whole ish.

Most of these companies relocating to Ghana just produce there and only about 30-40 percent of the commodities produced are for the Ghanaian market.every thing else is exported to Nigeria basically because of the available market.
Now the Ghanaian trade union recently voted to ban imports on made in Nigeria goods (correct me if it has been scrapped though) ...this would be their greatest undoing simply because most of these goods are manufactured for the Nigerian market.

Just putting this out there.

You were talking as if they are coming based on the border closure which I am changing your narrative, that it wasn't so, unlever never left Nigeria for once, they only increase their production elsewhere in which they still maintain up till date, Nigeria poor electricity infrastructure is the reason behind that, Bata was kicked out of buisness by other competitive, it wasn't so much a big deal. the Nigeria border closure has never attract anything of significant apart from what is cooked in the custom service department .

If Nigeria had the border close till December, Nigeria growth will be frustrated and shrinked further ( It is already growing just above 1 . 94 percent since June and had experience a sudden jump in inflation) so hyper inflation at this minute is easily predicated. let's wait till last quater of the year and see what Nigeria buisness statistics will have to say.

Nigeria was able to close the border cus Nigeria crucial product (oil) had never been affected .

I am telling you the reason for that speech has been tackled...he simply wanted the president to do away with the fraudulent, corrupt , visionless economic team set up by the vice president..

In less than two months that he placed the previous economic team Nigeria has improved on the ease of doing business, more investors and more deals has swept compared to the last 4 years of the previous economic team....
