It's exactly a week I landed in Germany. Dont be offended if people here are not getting back to you on time. Infact, I really commend some focks creating time to respond to issues. Here, is all about time. There are lots to sort out before you finally settled. Indeed, German are busy creations.

Try to sort out accommodation before coming. It's like a ticket to keep going with every registration apart from your school stuff.

To those processing for summer or next winter. Never compare your journey to others. Everyone has different race on the journey. Someone case to get here might not be same route like yours. I got rejected initially. God still make it through for me earlier than those without rejection. Infact, my rejection was like a blessing on getting here with certain consderation from the school. God always have a purpose for everything. Only for those that believe.

Keep pushing, trying and struggling. It all worth it!

To God I give praise. I also appreciate my people here. Hadampson may God grant your heart desire. Deutchman, thanks for the help when my SL was observed unacceptable 3 days to interview. Sassy for your support. And everyone outthere. May God grant all our heart desire. Danke

God will perfect everything for you, at his timing. It may not feel great rn, but when it eventually happens, you'd understand why things happened this way.

I tried for Germany in 2016 and stuff happened. I was discussing with my friend the other day and he reminded me how I could have been in Berlin, probably struggling with high living cost and all, but when it was God's time, I ended up in a state and vicinity that is way better for international students. And so far, the experience has been awesome.

I love your spirit already. Come what may, God is still faithful and he's also on your case, always will be. Trust Him.

The plans He has towards us are plans of peace...to give us an expected end.

Thank God for you, sis.

What part of Germany are you?

I’ve had the intention to write ever since, but I always never knew where to start from. Thank you Nairaland! It's been amazing!!! The real truth is that Nairaland helped me get here from start to finish; the wealth of information here from people's experiences is all you would ever need to achieve those goals. My one advice; NETWORK as much as you can, yes there are going to be bad eggs. I've not met any so far and I'm not going to deny their existence, but it's still the best way to get a hang of the new environment. Like plenty folks here, I have no family here but good lord! I have friends and my source is Nairaland! Before I traveled to Hamburg, again from Nairaland; I was able to connect and create a WhatsApp group of folks going to the same school with me; about 9 of us. Believe me, it has been my strength. It still feels very much like Nigeria for me and its one of the biggest challenges newbies face when they arrive here. I couldn’t contact the school/accommodation guides when I arrived, it was these friends (who traveled earlier than I did) that came to receive me at the airport (even got lost in the process when they went to board a train that detaches before it goes to the airport and the other part goes to another stop which of course they had no prior knowledge of then) and took me to my dorm, I was already settled in my dorm before the dorm administrator brought papers for me to sign, my friends literally secured my space for me. I came in on a Sunday, Germans take their Sundays very seriously; all their shops were closed and these same friends fed me good food till I could go get groceries on Monday (wonderful friends rights).

We literally understand how much of a luxury time is over there, so we do appreciate your giving back (with this very informative post) back to the community that fed you.

I pray God grants you your heart desires, and your expectations will not be cut short.

Amen

Yes you can. I did mine at State High Court Sapele Road Benin City in May this year, at about 300 Naira per page, which I used in securing admission at FH Hamm Lippstadt. However, for other schools including FHWS, I did the certification at German Embassy Lagos.
