Joan011: Hello bro, I'm an HND holder I studied Mass communication, can I use my HND results to apply for Msc in Aussie? is it true that Aussie schools do not accept admission directly from the applicant unless they go through an agent? i anticipate your response bro. |
Re: Nigerian Students In Australia: Survival Tips!! by Joan011: 5:15pm On Sep 27, 2019 |
bayocanny: First, I ain't a Bro. Most schools in Australia would refer you to an agent of theirs but there are some schools that won't bother whether or not you use an agent. And as for using your results to get into Msc am not sure about that. You can ask that in the other Australian student thread 1 Like |

Otumbalamba: Switching courses can get very competitive here. Have you paid the fees yet? The best you can do is email them explaining that you wanna awitvh courses and ask them for directions/ how to go about that. My two cents Let the gurus in the house come to my aid on this one. 1 Like |

Joan011:Mrs/Miss Nigerian... Typical.. gets confrontational when someone makes an observation/statement of fact. First off Australia would be quite cold for someone coming from Nigeria in the winter. But me laughing at someone who complains about the cold in Australia would be normal (it's nothing personal). Also, Lots of places in Russia is not colder than where I leave in Canada, so also the revere is the case. Considering the northern most pick of Canada is literally on thesame latitude as the northern most pick in Russia. I guess you would also consider getting to know the level of knowledge of who you lay accusation to before you make them.. By the way all the best in your studies in Australia... Thank you. 3 Likes |

Deeman1: See me see success, please what accusations have I laid against you and besides nothing of what I said is confrontational. Biko I don't want to know if you're the president of Canada or whatever cos it doesn't affect me in anyway. Last time I checked Dudinka, Krasnoyarsk Krai in Russia is more colder than Canada, so where did you get your outdated knowledge from. Oh I just remembered you're a Nigerian, no wonder. So bros or oga, let me enjoy my wine in peace and think about my budget. Cheers |

Silentthinker: Just saw this now although you've probably got your answer. Anyway I can't state a precise amount cos am in Victoria where things might not be that expensive as NSW if I remember my readings well. Check the immigrants thread you'll find a lot of very useful information. |

A travel and tours company is requesting that my brother pay them 2m to get him a job in Australia. 500k initial deposit and 1.5m when the documents are ready. How genuine is this? chukzyfcbb: |

Is there such thing as people getting jobs in Australia through agents? A travel and tours company requested that my brother pay them 2m to help in get a job there. An initial deposit of 500k is to be made. The remaining balance to be paid when the Visa is out. Loosing 500k could mean a lot and I want to verify their claims before letting go of the sum. Please kindly confirm if there is any genuine thing of this nature. Joan011: |

Thank.you. Same thing I told him but he was shown some documents of people who have been booked for biometrics. So he was convinced that they company was legit..Since the debit is going to be on me, I needed to be sure because 2m isn't easy to come by in the Nigeria of today. chukzyfcbb: |

Joan011:It's time for me to drop my own gist too I used Egypt air because it was the cheapest and had the shortest layover, would have used Turkish but mehn that layover was out of it. The flight from Lagos to Cairo was the worst I can't lie. Old plane, the seat was not good atall, I didn't enjoy it atalllll but when I called their customer care I was told they use A330-300 on Thursdays and Saturdays . So anyone that wants to use them I advise you call their customer care and ask when they use the A330. The meal was decent and it was tasty too. The flight from Cairo to Bangkok was very good mehn from the plane to the meal to the inflight entertainment, everything was okay on the plane and it's definitely a new plane, it was neat. I had a nice time on this flight and slept well. It was my best leg. I had about 4 hours layover at Bangkok. Bangkok airport is big mehn I walked for over 30 minutes from the gate I arrived to the gate for my flight. This leg was decent and I was provided to show my visa to them at the gate before boarding maybe because I was the only black. The leg was decent the plane was okay, meal was okay but it was very very cold. I will drop the rest tomorrow, I'm tired 3 Likes |

Hey guys, am going to talk about a very important thing in the morning.... Housing/ rent A very unfortunate event happened to me very recently and I would like to share it with you all. though an waiting to resolve issues at the moment. When looking for a place to rent make sure you know the rules guiding the place and also your right as a tenant. Don't stay in a house for 2 weeks without your rental agreement by your side because it will come in handy when any situation arises. 1 Like |
