I remember the negative press the airport got most especially from the SW during oduahs time. Why are people so wicked and filled with hate? The sky is so spacious that it can accommodate all birds. But no. Everything has to be a monopoly of some sort. Nigeria shared between the North and SW. What annoys me is the fact that you have to go all the way to Abuja for approval to build a project that would benefit your own people. Nigeria is cursed. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Bolustical: He is wicked. He is marginalizing the ibo people. In his first months he created an excuse out of thin air, closed Abuja airport runway and upgraded Kaduna airport without recourse to budget. He is building a railway to Niger republic. He CLOSED Enugu airport. Cool down, this thing you guys are doing on social media is being recorded. You can't delete the internet. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Why do most Igbo politician like complaining. Must we depend on govt even when it's very clear they don't want to develop the south east. Igbo leaders should start thinking. The 5 south east governors should come together to rebuilt Enugu international airport , work hand in hand with akwa ibom state to develop a seaport ( in fact invest in the project) and construct a railway from the seaport to Onitsha and Aba .then watch Lagos economy cripple in lest than 3months. Let's start thinking 6 Likes 1 Share |

Where were all of these south east leaders when Stella Odua inflated the contract to over 250%? and still went ahead to supervise a shabby construction that barely landed 8 aircraft. 1 Like |

That's a great write up. Taking people down the memory lane. Igbos are tactically limited and handicapped by the politics of this country. People are so afraid that they wish that South Easterners pass through their dinning every time they want to leave the country so that they could meticulously examine the motive for such travels. All their fears shall come to pass one day ....they have spent so much time scheming on how to hold south east down and this has held the entire country down as well 5 Likes 1 Share |

Just the same way other regions worked hand in hand to develop the sea port and the dry port in the North. They also worked hand in hand to build rail system UCyril: 3 Likes 1 Share |

Bolustical: Why are sounding like an illiterate airports undergo upgrades all the time...we all remember when Abuja airport was briefly shut down for repairs in 2017 the runway was rapidly repaired in 3 weeks. Also kaduna airport which served as alternative during the brief shut down was rapidly renovated in less than a month, it's runway resurfaced, landing lights installed. Do you know that there is ongoing construction at MMIA lagos right now. Port Harcourt and Kano airports were also renovated last year. Enugu airport is a very simple case of water seeping from underground and ruining the compaction of the tarmac. The federal government can fix that runway in 5 days if they want to. But of course the south east has to beg first before the govt will perform their duties. 3 Likes 1 Share |

@Anambralstson So Ekweremadu fought for the completion of the Airport more than political office holders from South East and IPOB treated him like that in Germany? |

There's absoluetely no reason why Enugu Airport should not be upgraded to an international airport with all the necessary infrastrcuture. Besides being one of the most travelled ethnic groups in Nigeria, the Southeast zone deserves an international airport just like the other zones. Everything in Nigeria is based on ethnicity even when it would have been much easier and beneficial to the country at large to do the right thing. What a hopeless and ignorant bunch!! 2 Likes 1 Share |
