Sadiq Umar scored his sixth league goal in 10 games in his side's 4-0 win on Sunday. He now has 6 goals and 4 assists in the league.

Should be due a call-up soon. Let's see if he can make a case for himself to be Osimhen's Backup in the long run.

David Okereke also returned to the scoring books as already reported here. Meanwhile that was his 5th league goal in 11 League games in the Belgian Jupiler. He now has 5 goals and 1 assist in the league.

Kelechi has also scored freekicks, he's quality.

I remeber when Naby Keita was also a point last season, and it was because of his injury that he got pitied.....Pepe has no such excuse, and Arsenal doesn't have time.

Kelechi scored just a freekick in a friendly game, not free kicks... U can't compare both

2freekicks scored in a uefa cup game to save a team and one scored in a friendly game cool

NFF Assures Ebere Eze in Super Eagles Plans

26 Oct. 2019

In form Queens Park Rangers forward Ebere Eze will get an invitation into the Super Eagles at the right time , this is according to a top Nigeria Football Federation official.

Eze has been in terrific form for the England Championship side so far this season and scoring couple of goals as well.

However the English youth international is now appear to be on radar of Nigeria Football Federation, having linked up with the Africans sometimes in the past.

Nigeria Football Federation official who pleaded anonymity revealed that , the player is under the watch list of Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr and urged him to maintain his impressive form in the Championship.

“Yes Ebere Eze is doing very well for Queens Park Rangers (QPR) in the Championship in England and it’s good news for us.

“Besides, he has come to the Super Eagles camp before when we went to play in London.

“Our scout knows him very well. Nigerians should not be too anxious and put him under undue pressure.”

“There is always space for a good player in a team, most especially like the team we are building at the moment. So the scouts are monitoring him, he’s known to us and we see how it goes.

“But you know a lot of young players have come into the team of late and it’s an ongoing thing.

“If you are good enough and you can bring something extraordinary to the team, we can always give you a chance.

“So we are very happy that Ebere Eze is doing well and believe that at the right time he will be giving the chance to play for the Super Eagles.” He said.

Iwobi will start if klopp where to manage arsenal, unless someone better is there to bench him, dont make it look like arsenal got mane or salah there, its still the same klopp that give arnold a chance same klopp bought an average robertson and made him better so what makes you think he will not play iwobi? if dem tell you say robertson go pursue moreno you no go believe

I can give you average players klopp started at a good dortmund team

You are just against iwobi and you cant hide it, you know how to call players average but look at how you are defending pepe, SMH
Henderson and Milner are crap but they have a huge amount of game time

Please be guided. I'm not saying he is as good as Rinaldo but you can't bring that penalty argument. Its not December yet and many are crying foul already. Give the dude time. He scored two free kicks in a match and that means he is quality.
After seeing this I don't think anybody should take you serious

Football live NG. Not bad. Well, I hope you can see that the current Eze news of him having a rethink after Nigeria made contact again shows my point true.

There is always the temptation to choose England when your career is on the up... While Nigeria is settled for when it looks like you are just getting along in your career as a player of dual nationalities.

In the end, I hope Eze comes home. If not, nothing more than to wish him well.

In the end, it is his choice. This shows that a player can commit to you early but is likely to change his mind if things start looking up on thr club career front and he is yet to be capped by any nation officially.

But even at that, I prefer these foreign borns stating from the outset where their national team allegiance lie. If it is Nigeria, so be it. If it is England, then please stick to England no matter whether you are balling for Chelsea or Wycombe wanderers.

I am certain that we will. Since 2013, we have been unearthing some fine talents. Even the 2009 U-17 side having some genuine lads like Sani Emmanuel and papas like Stanley Okoro gave us Kenneth Omeruo amd Ramon Azeez.

My eyes are especially on Samson Tijani, Daniel Jinadu, Ferdinand Ikenna, Akinkunmi Amoo, Olakunle Olusegun, Ibraheem Jabaar, Wisdom Ubani, and possibly Divine
Nwachukwu, Adeniyi Oluwatimehin or Peter Olawale.

AFCON U-23: Okonkwo, Awoniyi lead foreign pros to Olympic Eagles squad

The camp of the Dream Team VII has been boosted by the arrival of more foreign pros as they prepare to defend the AFCON U-23 title they won in Senegal four years ago, AOIFootball.com can authoritatively confirm.

Expected among the foreign-based professionals are Taiwo Awoniyi who will flew into the country after he was an unused substitute for Mainz 05 in their 3-1 win over FC Koln with US based Orji Okonkwo also expected to hit the team’s camp in Abuja.

Other players expected in camp before the turn of next week are Russia-based Olabiran Blessing Muyiwa and Turkey-based Sincere Seth who has also been called up to boost the team’s defence ahead of the Championship.

The team already have the compliments of vice-captain Kelechi Nwakali who arrived earlier this week with Imama also hoping that more foreign lads will be released by their clubs to help the country in their quest for yet another continental title.

Nigeria’s U23 squad open their campaign against Cote d’Ivoire in the tournament on 9th November in Cairo before taking on Zambia on 12th November and South Africa on 15th November. All their matches will hold at the Al Salam Stadium.

Nope. Not the whole team. There are 21 of them for Goodness sake. These are lads I know. Peter Olawale has not even played. Ubani and Olakunle are ahead of him but lad is pretty gifted.

But my Big Five are Tijani, Amoo, Ikenna, Olakunle and Ubani. Already posted that in the U-17 thread few hours ago.

How do you know Olawale is gifted? There is no evidence of that yet. He did not do much in their friendlies.

Ubani was poor in the last match. Jabbar was much better. Amoo has to start.

Because you do not know doesn't mean everyone else must not know. How much chances was he given in their friendlies? Even with the few chances he got he showed his talent. Besides I have my sources.

And Ubani was poor... Yes. It still doesn't erase the fact that he is one of the biggest guns of the team. In fact reports say he was nursing an injury pre-WC. That's why he isn't at his storming best.

The jury is still out on Olawale. I has also read sources that say he is good but there is no empirical evidence of this, yet.

Ubani was injured pre tournament. That's true. That was why he did not play some of the friendlies. Maybe he will pick up but for the next game, i will start Jabbar and later bring on Ubani if needed.

I traced the Olawale lad even to his academy performances reports. It goes beyond just news reports or journalist snippets. I think we have a good talent in that kid. All the same, his chances will be limited in Brazil. Even Divine Nwachukwu will be considered first off the bench in the striking role.

I agree on Jabaar. Jabaar should be starting for me too. Same as Amoo. This means Opeyemi Monsuru who started as the advanced MF should make way for Amoo. On Ubani, I advise he focuses on getting better while Jabaar holds forte for the most part of next game. Ubani still has much to offer at this tournament but the medical team has to ensure he is in tip top shape.

The 3-4-3/3-5-2 was quite strange for the boys at first. I hope Manu correct the defensive lapses. We didn't play with a natural LB/LWB in the Hungary game. Etim uses his right. That could work against us going forward as the lad struggled for some parts before he picked up.

Osimhen Allays Injury Fears, Ready For Super Eagles Vs Benin, Lesotho

Lille forward Victor Osimhen has allayed fears he could miss Nigeria’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying double header against Benin and Lesotho as a result of injury, reports Completesports.com.

Osimhen sustained an abductor injury in Lille’s 3-O home win against Girondis Bordeaux on Saturday.

The 20-year-old was replaced by Loic Remy in 58th minute of the encounter.

The former Wolfsburg of Germany striker took to the social media to provide update on the injury.

”I’m fine, it’s just a minor injury issue, thanks brother,”Osimhen replied centre-back, Kenneth Omeruo who asked a question on the severity of the injury.

Osimhen has scored seven goals and recorded two assists in 11 league games for Lille this season.

The Super Eagles will host neighbours Benin on November 14 in their opening AFCON 2021 qualifying fixture and then face Lesotho in Maseru five days later.

Pepe is not iwobi replacement , but i am just letting you know of what a player should be able to do with that price tag

And mind you wingers are compared to wingers either Left or right so pepe can be compared to iwobi ok, Iwobi plays as more as a winger than AM at his arsenal days.
Well if I were to choose between Pepe and Iwobi, I'd pick Pepe easily as I know what he can give when he fully adapts.
Dude has the most key passes and dribbles in the team. He is adapting very slowly but the talent is not in doubt.

So it happens that Peter Olawale played some of the friendlies in Brazil. He is also known as Ukeme.

They played a back 4 not a back 3. Adeniyi was RB, Etim played LB, Ikenna and Usman were the CBs

Tijani, Ojediran and Opeyemi were in the middle. Tijaji was deepest.

Said, Ubani, Olakunle were strikers.

I have seen reports of a back 3 but i watched the game multiple times, And it was clear to me that it was a back 4.

Etim looked like a weak spot but lets hope he improves.
