Fellow twin mama, sorry about the catarrh just follow the advice given by other mamas as regards treatment and do the steaming, if temperature is beyond 38 (check with a thermometer) please see your doctor.
I feel your pains I tell you because even me that had help when my twins were younger was stressed and still stressed up till cos there energy level is out of this world, please get help so you don't break down. My regards to the twins.

Use a thermometer to check. Place an analogue thermometer in armpit for 2 minutes and then read result... it is fever from 37.5 and above, so if you get this kindly give paracetamol every 8 hours and increase to 6 hourly if not coming down.
Effective paracetamol administration will work only if given the right dose... the right dose is weight of child X 15 X 5 divided by how many mg is in the bottle...
for example where is written 125mg/5ml ... in this case you would multiply your child’s weight by 5 and 15 then divided by 125... this would give you the appropriate mls to give
Do this, if persists with cough and catarrh and noisy breathing... run to a children’s hospital close to you
Or government hospital with paediatricians

Remember that fever is not normal and is usually a signal from a part of the brain called the hypothalamus so visit the child doctor as soon as possible

Aaaww, sorry dear. I believe God knows best. Don't worry the kids are growing already, you will feel relieved after they start to sit . Just wish there is something I can do to help but we are based in Ibadan. God that gave you a set of twin is the One who will help you manage the situation. Regards to the gifts.

There's Heinz baby cereal for 4month olds, id attach a picture. Any other cereal you buy, make sure it's marked 4months+. You can also occasionally give pap with plenty formula, maybe just before bed to knock her out

Mama, you shouldn't be self medicating for this babies please. They are still small, take them to d hospital.

The 6 month baby group is no longer active. Mama's biko let's start sharing food pics nag, maybe that will boost our morale.

I was giving P-Alaxin Tablets at the pharmacy and the guy there (guess a pharmacist) insisted that it is the malaria drug that breast feeding mums take along side he gave amoxil 500 mg to treat typhoid

Getting home, i discovered it is written on the leaf that breast feed mum should not use it for malaria treatment.
I don't know what to do right now
Please advise or recommend for me...

did you run test to ascertain that you have typhoid and malaria? as a new mum, sometimes stress can make you feel sick. it's better you see a doctor

A pharmacist recommended it for me even after my husband told him I was breastfeeding and because we trusted his opinion, I took the drug only to have my breast milk dry up for more than a week. It was scary and I took everything that boasts lactation but to no avail. Thank God it finally came back, but I didn't need a soothsayer to tell me to head straight to the hospital the next time I was down with malaria symptoms. It was coartem that my doctor gave me which was the same thing I took when pregnant. So, please seek your doctor's opinion dear.

What to administer depends on the age of your baby. If my baby is still very young and i'm breastfeeding, i eat lots and lots of vegetables. I noticed it helps my baby poos. I don't know if that theory is right but its been working. When baby is old enough, i give her oranges or prune juice
