Which attack? The one Kalu created with a moment of brilliance? Iwobi destroyed more than he created EOD

Iwobi was central to the counters we created. His run off Kalu was important was the goal/

This is a quote from solace review of the game:

"However, it is instructive just how unable Nigeria was to create danger once Iwobi went off: his role was key to the transitions, and it became increasingly difficult to get the ball, as well as bodies, forward."

https://thesupersub.com/ukraine-2-2-nigeria-speed-and-transition/

Immediately Iwobi was pulled off, we struggled to create anything. Iwobi is absolutely key to the way we play at the moment.

Then again, we do not have to agree

He killed off more attacks than he created. This is a player I really like but he was not good against Ukraine.

But honestly, I am not impressed with Cameroun. They are meant to act like the African Champs they are for crying out loud. Na wa for them.

Anyway, red card for Tajikistan. I can see more help is being rendered... grin

My friend I think you are being very inconsiderate. Against Ukraine, our midfield flopped immediately Iwobi was substituted. During the African Nations Cup, Iwobi controlled our midfield very well. Even in his club, in the penultimate game played at Everton, he did provide assists. I do not know what else you want my man. Yes, he is not a world class player but he continues to pull his weight no matter where he goes. This is evidence by him becoming a first team player in Everton after 2 games on transfer from Arsenal.

Bro, you seem not to understand my point of view.

I am not expecting him to play like his uncle JJ Okocha or to score like coutinho, he just needs to be more reliable

Iwobi is too inconsistent to be our major AM.

He has only one goal and one assist in 10 games since joining everton. If we want to be truthful to ourselves, we need a better and more consistent AM. I am not singling him out for criticism but it is a disaster that the only AM we currently have in the SUPER EAGLES (capitalised for emphasis) is not consistent

He didn't create anything. Kalu created Aribo's goal all Alex did was make the final pass. This is the same thing Alex used to do at arsenal(pre assist). Etebo was the best midfielder on the pitch and that was very clear. I don't know why you guys like to discredit that fellow.

Thanks bros. You are not been sentimental like the others. If we watch matches with an open mind, we will see that Iwobi only starts because there are no replacements tbh

WHAT is iwobis goal return for Nigeria since you care about his role as an AM for us ?

Go and find out yourself. Since you're on Nairaland, it means that you have access to data and internet. Okay??

Ramon Azeez really showed himself for Granada in their last match. He definitely is the much talked about competition for Iwobi.

It won't be bad if ROhr tries him out in that position

I don't see them scoring a goal tonight maybe next time.

Chai Tajikistan almost scored with a training ground set piece special.

Only the Aribo pass is relevant to the conversation. Now mention another thing he did for someone to say he was the best player on the pitch? Anybody who says that goal wasn't all about Samuel Kalu is running off of sentimental diesel grin

You can imagine them giving credit to iwobi while forgetting the work that Samuel Kalu put in for that goal. Now who are the biased ones??

This is a big relief. We can't put our hope on an inconsistent player. Soon some players will come to matches with mattress and blankets. I no get time for immature back and forth.

This is the summary of all my essays since. Tomorrow now, when he fails to show up in an important match, the same people that praised him will castigate him severely
