How can a soldier be detained by the police of a country, and soldiers want to release him by force like they are above the law?
If the case wasn't well attended to, don't you know what would have happened? People would have died, innocent people for that matter sef.
typing "what a bad name for the force" means you are blaming the police force for arresting an erring military man. There is difference between force and military so maybe you should make corrections in your initial post. Soldiers always try to release their members by force because if investigation is done and he is found guilty, he will be handed over to martial court with those evidence and if they also confirm him guilty, the first step will be to dismiss such officer before handing him over to court for persecution.

A police station invaded by armed soldiers?

Bro read the post in full ok. Soldiers can't take such action if no reason for it.

Bro I can not trust our police the moment they detained you in their station they can rogue you if no immediate intervention then you are gone I pray you never experience such just say amen with no argument those men in black are bitch.

The army should go there to find out what happen for real and investigate it and if the officer are find wanting then they should face the penalty but if not they should demand for their release immediately or return to the police whatever to free them that is it.

God just save one of my family friend son from these notorious men in black few days ago if not for my dad intervention by now they would have said this boy is a armed robber or kidnapper just for refusing to give them bribe for doing no wrong.

if he is he is undergoing trial , he would be interdicted and he won't be persecuted but prosecuted.

I think U're missing it up bros...

A soldier can't be detained by d Police - ONLY IF his crimes is a military crime. In DAT case he will be arrested by d military Police and tried militarily.

On the other hand, if the Soldiers's crime is against a civilian, he can either by called off duty by d military and handed over to d Police or even arrested by d Police themselves and prosecuted to a civilian court.

Nigerian army always looking down on other security bodies instead of working in synergy for the peace of the nation,if a soldier was arrested by the police why can't the military sent a delegation to the police Hq to find out what happened n possibly look at the any evidence available, lots of our soldiers are unruly n even criminal in nature, the so call discipline of our military is nothing but force obedience only n not any true discipline, worst of all the military always feel n act above the law in this country,I wonder if that's the general attitude of soldiers the world over.
