charlesemeka85: Even in football and Athletics, they are not only the best. In sports generally, SW has achieved more than any regions in Nigeria but I am not foolish to say they are the only one that produces best talents. You are the delusional one here because you ignorantly claimed SE and SS are the best in sports in the whole Nigeria. Fat lie. |

andrewbaba44: We rate players first then the league second. And how do we do that, if you are good in a "nonsense league" according to you. Then you should be the stand out top performing consistently outstanding player in that league. Flipping the proposition then it follows vice versa. If you are in a top league and club and you are essentially anonymous inconsistent and not outstanding. By your proposition that makes you a nonsense player, Ogbeni ❓ ❓ So does that mean that Aribo is a nonsense player - Ogbeni ❓ according to your blanket approach and appraisal. |

safarigirl: That's too premature. The EPL is a marathon not a sprint there is a long way too go. Arsenal is still finding thier way and could easily get back to form. If Leicester loose form or just one or two key players that's literally the end of thier progression. Arsenal is a far better club with historical and present continous top quality pedigree and a much larger quality squad. |

charlesemeka85: Lol, how can he say when the bigger boys are back Leicester will return to where they belong? I am trying to tell him that man united will not be among those big boys that will make top 4 period. When last did arsenal qualify for the champions league ? Spurs pushed arsenal away from the top 4 tag, man u own na once in a while The world knows Ac millan is bigger than napoli, but today a big player will rather join napoli than ac millan, in football you need to be consistent If man united and arsenal continue like this there will be a time they wont be able to attract big players |

komekn: And if arsenal also loose 1 or 2 key players nko? Arsenal need to be winning home games and not draw, they have dropped point they arent supposed to drop and if they dont take care they might pay for that I am giving arsenal hope of top 4, but i am not giving man united any hope There is no difference between man united and west ham, the different is just paul pogba and De gea Can you tell me when last arsenal qualified for the champions league ? |

charlesemeka85: We need to stop all these. Forget about the ethnic origin of the players, they are playing under the Nigerian flag. I have no doubts you guys are secretly praying for the team to fail just so u can celebrate. Like icons mentioned, there was no Yoruba in the 93 squad heavens did not fall, we all celebrated the victory. The 85 set had 90% players from Bendel state and that did not stop us celebrating when they won. If a certain region claims they are the best in a particular field and the other players from the other regions are merely exceptions, then these set are the exceptions so let's deal with it. The answer you're looking for @ the bolded is Muda Lawal. 3 Likes 1 Share |

oga we are not on the same page. manchester united and arsenal have been poor for over half a decade but that doesnt mean spurs and leicester are more successful or even bigger than them. no right thinking footballer will turn down teams like arsenal and man utd to join or remain in the likes of leicester, westham and co in english football the liverpool and manchester united still remain the most successful in the local scene and in europe. andrewbaba44: 1 Like |

Ibrahim Said dominated the front and back pages after netting a hat-trick to help Nigeria qualify for the round of sixteen at the ongoing FIFA U17 World Cup with a game to spare, allnigeriasoccer.com reports. Having caught the eye in the Golden Eaglets opening day win against Hungary, Said has been the standout player for the five-time world champions since the start of the competition in Brazil. Here are five interesting facts about Ibrahim Said : 1) Said returned to Dabo Babes Academy, Kano in 2017 after a stint with Zoo United. He was previously .playing for the feeder team of Dabo Babes Academy. 2) He was discovered by Golden Eaglets coach Manu Garba during a scouting programme in Kano in 2017. Said was one of the four Dabo Babes players selected by the Nigeria U17 boss. 3) An MRI scandal almost preventing him from representing Nigeria at the U17 World Cup. He was dropped from the Golden Eaglets squad to the U17 AFCON due to an administrative lapse. Said was on grade 5 when the initial test which might have been tampered with was conducted. He was invited again to the team ahead of the tournament in Brazil but was not part of the squad to the UEFA Assist Tournament in Turkey last month. Eventually he was included on a 25-man provisional roster before making the final list. 4) He has been nicknamed 'Any Number' by his Golden Eaglets teammates and officials. Although his favorite position is attacking midfield, he is also comfortable playing as a right and left winger, holding midfielder, right wing-back and right fullback. He is very skillful and has been likened to Chelsea loanee Victor Moses. 5) Said is attracting interest from teams based in Belgium, England, Netherlands and Sweden and the number is set to increase after his masterclass display in the 3-2 win against Ecuador. |

Shame shame shame on everyone who have continued to fuel this ugly monster. Shame to the person whi started all these tribal talks. Shame on you who did not comment but share the same sentiments. Shame on those who saw how wrong it is but decided not to correct the notion. How low can people think? The thread has been dragged through mud, it is enough please!!. Someone went as far as saying being ethnocentric is no crime but yet we shout racism. Another went so low tp name players that represented the country trying to allign them to a region. Such a sad day reading comments from supposed NIGERIANS!!! Not so many people are fans of the Nigerian team but fans of themselves. Whether the team wins or loses, the fact remains that they are all Nigerians and we should support them. Soon when it is time for 4 x 100 athletics relay now, some people will advocate for all regions to be represented. So sad that the essence of why this thread was created is being seriously damaged. I believe we are all reasonable individuals and if not we can pretend to be but please leave this tribal issue and face football. NB: Another thread can be created where you can argue where the best footballer emerge from that is if such exists. 15 Likes 4 Shares |

Humility017: Human being must come from somewhere. The likes of Adebayor and Alaba were denied the opportunity to play for their fatherland due to prejudice. If we add them to the number, They will occupy the top five. In addition to Yekini, Amokachi and Odegbami. Facts |
