Meanwhile, lemme repeat once more, a Civil Servant that has put in a good number of years on the job does not really have a weak profile as we may think. Age, property, years of experience and assumed "job satisfaction" (hope you know holding on to that civil service job come what may is a norm here? Not always looking for the next good place to work unlike the upwardly mobile Bankers that have absconded severally and giving us deeper bad name, no civil servant wants to leave his/her retirement benefits just like that na) can cover for them.

Actual weak profiles will scarcely snatch a visa. "Japaist" are having a hard time getting a US visa now, seriously

My muslim friends who recently got their visas are living in a rented apartment they have not been togo talkless of saying they will go to Dubai... One of d dad friends gave them an invitation letter it was our house and my laptop that they use to fill their form.... These people are living below average their dad is a primary school teacher while d mom is a civil servant... And VO grsnt them visa

Ii was actually doubting it wehter VO will issue them visa i told one of dem that their chance is zero.... The should spend their loney on another thing alas i was wrong they came back home with good news jumping all around.... To me us visa is now God grace.. Some cnsular don't spend 1min with an applicants before giving dem blue paper...if u know u don't have any tangible thing to say you can skip d guy question or visit another thread..........( no proof read)

They obviously lied at their interview. These lies are why even the rich find it difficult gaining the trust of the VOs today.

Most U.S visas available are temporary visas also known as non-immigrant visas.
Non-immigrant visas are not designed for relocating to the U.S but of course a large percentage of people abuse the non-immigrant visas.
If you wish to relocate to America there are four main ways of obtaining permanent residence: through a family member, employment, asylum and diversity immigrant visa.
Diversity immigrant visa is no longer available for Nigerian citizens.
Based on your description you do not fall into any of the four categories.
You cannot relocate simply by getting an invitation from a friend, if that was the case then the whole world would be in America by now.

We must understand why this thread was created. This thread/forum is to help genuine traveler to U.S, who wishes to apply through Non-Immigrant visa and we have more a lot of success story as well as second chance applicant who got it.
Insult, abuse and threat will not be tolerated here as well as people trying to encourage people to get visit visa through fraudulent means.

@groovychik; for the purpose of doing a back and forth sake, don’t you think generating a DS160 form number and scheduling an appointment with it is quite different from the actual filling and submission of the form itself before scheduling an appointment? It seems so though....

Meanwhile, for learning purposes and as an advice, @the bolded is the best thing to do any day in order to avoid getting enmeshed in a mixup and by extension a turn back on one’s interview day as have been the case of many here almost from time immemorial till date.

Providing social media account is not compulsory that is why an option (NONE) was provided to visa applicants.
