Yes, Dana loves his super fights but the one thing about the ufc and mma in general and one aspect it surpassed boxing is that the best always fight the best, their matchmaking is usually impeccable. I agree there is a wider jump in weight than boxing but harder is a stretch. Both of Jones last two opponents were middleweights. Gastellum moved up. A lot of fighters have routinely pulled it off. Jones has the build to pull it off easily

Jones knows his fancy moves will be a lot harder to pull off in Heavyweight where a body shot can scatter all your well thought out plans at the drop of a dime. There are many older slower guys in the Heavyweight division but Jones knows the risks far outweigh the rewards
