Good Evening Guys,

I have two questions please:

1. For Online route, please I would like to know when the 9 weeks processing time starts to count for medical request to drop, is it after you submit your application or after you've done biometrics?

2. After I did my biometrics 3 days ago, I was sent a mail containing a link and a tracking number. Everytime I track the biometrics I did, it always pops up "No record found". Is there a reason for this or am I doing something wrong?

Gurus in the house, kindly help with trusted responses. Thanks
hello Toheeb I also did my biometrics on the 14th of October around the time you did yours, have you gotten any mail yet plus were you able to track your application

Somebody Help !!

I have applied for refund of money paid to SAIT after being rejected twice for TRV and I was given a max of six week for me to receive the cash in my bank account, since Aug 3 am still waiting...na so e dey be ??

What do I do? I need to pursue someother endeavour.

I need advice on this matter please.

Thanks.

Follow them up o, as a matter of fact, I am experiencing the same issue with Conestoga college. The level of nonchalance is alarming. Mine is 10 weeks now.

In my last message to them, I told them I will proceed to tag Canadian government officials on social media with my complaint if they don't give me a definite timeline to issue the refund(The initial timeline they gave was 6-8 weeks). They moved the refund to a new stage the same day and later told me it will take an additional 2-4 weeks.

So don't wait at all, follow up.

You'll definitely hear from them soon. My medicals was requested on the 16th of October, done 24th and passed 30th Oct. I am patiently waiting for a final decision. My application is 6 weeks old, though.

Its been 6 days now. Nothing. No news. And i yhink people do receive their letter almost within 48 hours after that has dropped. Or have you seen any ither letter?

I got my refusal letter 48hrs after my biometrics letter came in

Reason for refusal was purpose of visit and family ties in Canada or home country.

UrsyBC:

UBC admission: 28th August
Online Application: 18th Sept
Biometrics Request: 20th Sept
Biometrics Done: 26th Sept.
Medical Request:16th Oct.
Medicals Done : 24th Oct.(IOM Lag)
Medicals Passed: 30th Oct.

First time applicant.

My passport was to expire 3 months into the winter term and of course, my Visa's validity if granted wouldn't be longer than March, so I had to wait for it to drop to 6 months, then I applied for passport renewal. I also got my police clearance certificate in September.

Took me not less than a week to write a one and a half pages of SOP. I kept editing and restructuring, adding and subtracting. My strategy was to weigh the pros n cons of each point I try to make. Any information that I weigh n perceive could be misinterpreted, I thrower more light. For instance, my kids are part of my ties. The least is 2 years old. I felt the VO would wonder why a sane mother would want to leave her young child. At the same time, i felt the VO would also wonder how i would travel with a toddler given the intensity of my professional masters degree. I had to choose one side of the argument and gave solid reasons which sent a pointer to my determination to study and graduate with good grades while outlining adequate steps I've put in place for the welfare of the kids I'm leaving behind.

I also mentioned what I intend to do upon return and showed evidence of some tangible things I'd leave behind as a major fallback when I return. Each day I read my SOP, it made deeper meaning. I understood it differently and kept manipulating it until I was convinced that I had done noble. Worthy to mention is that I showed a career progression from my previous study and current work experience, to the intended program. Meanwhile, I attached an LOE to explain my previous US tourist Visa rejection, reason for not writing IELTS + correspondence from school confirming that IELTS would be waived if my UNN sends them a proof that I was taught in English, other source of income, family composition .

Meanwhile, I have a travel history(US and)
Self-sponsorship
Employed with a meagre salary
Printed n submitted the tuition n cost of living page as seen on the school's website.
Statement of account(4 months)
fixed deposit
Reference letter from bank
Transcripts
Proof of English Proficiency from undergrad school
Letter from employer(recent)
TCC
Pay stubs (3months)
Survey plans of properties in my name
Birth certificates of kids
Hubby n dad's biodata page.
Picture of just the kids together with a minor ward.
Confirmation letter from UBC on deposit payment
Conditional letter of acceptance
Tuition Fee is to be paid in 3 instalments

I think less is actually more. SOP was straight to the point so as not to bore the VO or divulge unnecessary information that could be used against me. For each information I gave, I asked myself if it was necessary and directly related to my application. Then I moved to weighing the implication of every possible answer. I actually set up a law court in my head.

For me, preparing and sending in my application was like preparing for a life changing exam. I almost gave up cos it was too much for just an application, but for the deposit I already made...I needed at least a rejection to get it back. lol

PS: I have an active EE profile and didn't delete for the purpose of this application. Afterall, my timeline in the morning is same even at night and what would be would be. It's not a do or die affair. Holding on to see what the end would be...

Meanwhile much respect to frankrobbin, justmellow and all those who take time to respond to questions on this platform. E no easy, I swear. See as hand dey pain me n I dey jump certain details wey I wan share. They'll definitely come sha...in due course whether or whethern't Visa is approved. Lol.

Much luv, fam

What was your closing account ? And value of the fixed deposit?

Frankrobbn1:

I regret to hear your study visa was rejected.
PLEASE REFER TO MY POST AS AT 2017, your refusal grounds have been adequately explained by me in that post. Feel free to ask your questions here should you require further guidance.

It shall end in praises.

Mr Frankrobbn1 thanks for all that you for this thread.

I was refused based on PURPOSE OF VISIT and FAMILY TIES IN CANADA OR HOME COUNTRY

I went through your post and I can say as regards purpose of visit and family ties, I explained everything you mentioned in details in my SOP/LOE. This are the points I discussed in my SOP/LOE

1)Introduction
2)Academic background (Computer Science)
3)My interest in the course of study( Masters of Global management) which in summary is I have been running an Event management business for over 5 years and I required an Academic qualification in a management course, I also stated that I had worked in an event company in the past and had some trainings in Event management and Project management, I also explained how the event business was born out of passion as it was a side hustle while I was in Uni.
4) I wrote about why I wanted to study in Canada
5)Why I chose the school( Royal Roads University )
6) I wrote about my conditional offer from Royal Roads university, I was asked to do two courses cause of my academic background ( Financial Accounting and Managerial Account, I needed to have at least 50marks each for both courses ) I had to defer my admission in order to clear the conditions which I did( these courses were not free)
7)I also wrote about How the course will be of great benefits to me and my business( I discussed the problems I currently encounter in my business and how I believed the course will help in tackling the issues)
cool I wrote about my Goals and Aspirations
9) I wrote about my study gap 11 years( in between I got married and started a family )
10)Funding ( which wasn’t an issue, I had paid full one year tuition fee 17,850CAD and I had 10k USD in my domiciliary account for living expenses) my husband was my sponsor

Note, since I graduated, I Haven’t worked in my field of study.
I submitted my company documents( I registered my company in 2010)

As regards Family Ties
I have been married for almost 6years( submitted my marriage certificate)
I have 2 kids( submitted their birth certificates)
Submitted documents for 5 landed properties( 2 jointly owned by my husband and I) each property had valuation certificates
I got a letter from my children’s school indicating they were registered there and their tuition had been paid for 2019/2000 academic year ( I included this because they are US citizens and to prove they won’t be going with me)
My Mum wrote a letter indicating that she would support my husband in taking care of the children and assist with their school work while I’m away ( she retired as a Director of education in Lagos state)
My husband wrote a letter of sponsorship

My husband submitted his personal 11. 5M and domiciliary account 20k USD
I submitted my company account with 2.5 M and personal account 450k and my USD a account 10k USD even though my husband was the sole sponsor.

Please how can I further tackle the reason for my study permit refusal. My husband feels I should ask for a refund from the school and try UK but I convinced him to give Canada another try which will definitely be the last.

Hello house,

My school sent this email saying admission has been revoked, stating that either tuition was not paid or other reasons.
Though this was the same admission that was used for the previous visa application that was refused in Sept.
But I honestly forgot or forgot to check that there was a set date (Oct 15, 2019) to pay the balance(after paying the $1500) tuition fee for the first semester (admission is for Jan 2020).

Now, visa application is on and just completed 2 weeks. Medical is upfront and showing "we are reviewing the result of your medical".

My question now is, what do i do concerning the school? Contact them? If so, what do I say? Will they still allow me to pay?

Will this have effect or affects the visa process?
