Based on this Federal character, every Nigerian can not be as intelligent an some states have smarter people than others. This is Nigeria and the beauty is in the diversity. I know Nnpc might be after the best of the best but they could still lower the marks for some states especially the GT positions. We all would still be trained right?
I find it hard to believe that only 1 person can be chosen from a state. Or did they mean Local government?
If you think or pray the recruitment would be cancelled, I advise you to pray harder but such a prayer would not work.

Good points from you I must say. However, a view of the landscape orientation of QUOTARISM clearly shows how it caters for the stability of the society in a way like no other.

For example, a deep look at the participation of women in politics is still considered insufficient across all demographic of the world even though anyone would easily agree that involvement of women in politics today has tremendously improved but not without many thanks to the utilization of the QUOTA system.

Likewise, if sports like basketball and football were never separated into the male and female categories. Just imagine the male to female ratio stats that each team would have had. We can say that the separation of sports into different categories is even slightly beyond quotarism.

The perspective about selecting based on talent rather just to fill some quota is a good one, infact it might be the best. Notwithstanding, the idea of choosing based on quota is not entirely based on just filling alone, it has alot more to do about value and standards too.
After all, requirements are often pegged for the selection process.

Wow... I too think this process very lightly from the outset but I started hoping and believing something good will happen and things would be different this time. But this is Nigeria where project continuity is a major problem in politics and government. This is just so sad

I also don't support the idea of waiting for ages to know the outcome of this process. Waiting for a long time is the reason why most people find it difficult to move on years after a recruitment. We can actually put little pressure on NNPC, at least to keep them on their toes. coz this waiting and hoping for God and our leaders to do everything for us is what got our beloved country in the hot mess it is in today.

Everyone one here should know that the process has stalled without even hear it from any source and there are many hiding reasons to this.Just be optimistic that the APL is in pipeline.

Three things can happen
1. List is delayed because of the fcc issue, list is later released without any adjustment
2. List is delayed because of the fcc issue, Nnpc adjusts the number of supposed new intakes to accommodate the addition to the states that seem not to have performed well
3. List is delayed because of the fcc issue, Nnpc cannot adjust their number of new intakes hence some that did better would be dropped to accommodate other states that didn’t do so well.

Note: that you did better in the interview doesn’t make you better than someone that didn’t perform as well.
Whatever case plays out, the recruitment wasn’t cancelled. It’s time that will tell
