After mounting the engine mechanic advised me to drive d car for at least one week before changing the oil while someone else advised me to drain the oil and put new one immediately. Oil life span is calculated based on distance or number of months inside the engine.
With no specific knowledge of how long the oil has stayed inside the engine, it is NOT advisable to the drive the engine with the old oil inside it.

I have a Honda civic 2008 model, about 1month ago I was coming from Church and the car started slowing down and wasn't moving past between 10-17 km/h, called up my mechanic and he said it was fuel filter. Had that changed still no pressure and was told to change the entire fuel pump. Pressure started well but car started with a cranking sound when starting up the engine and still won't start anymore. Was told to get a new gasket, engine top, timing chain, and adjuster then grind the valves. Now with all that done, the car starts but now no pressure again and so the engine dies off.

Any ideas what might be the problem and possible solution? I have had over 3 mechanics on it but still no ideas.

Need help, I need it for Taxify duties which I was doing before the problem started.

God bless.
Scan the car and also
Check your brain box

My question is:

It's 3 months already, the 20w-50 is due for servicing, just do a normal drain & refill with the recommended 5w-20.. No need for any flushing

5w-20 full everywhere..
Autologic Gazzuzz Dru23 radautoworks or luvinghubby all on nairaland can hook you up with 5w-20 oil.
You car will be fine with either synthetic, synthetic blend or conventional oil.. Just make sure it 5w-20 or 5w-30

Most mobil falling stations usually have 5w-30, your engine will still be alright with it

Thank you all for the advice. I've drained and refillied with the 5w20 oil last Saturday. I've rest of mind now.

Do a lick down test. There might be carbon deposit preventing the valve from lapping well.

changed with tokunbo and we ve also tried interchanging the aformentioned (coil, injector and plug) of CYLINDER ONE and that of CYLINDER THREE.

Still, CYLINDER ONE still misfires, so I do not think those components are the issue.

Was a compression test done? If a valve is not seated properly it can throw that code.

House, pls help. My car security alarm goes off once in a while for no reason. I've tried many ways as suggested online but to no avail.
I even took it to a rewirer and after checking, he couldn't see anything wrong. But once in a while it goes off. Sometimes, it may stay some days without going off. It happens both in the night and day.
But I noticed that it usually happens when weather is bad especially cold or if rain falls.
When it goes off, I'I'll open the door manually and it'll stop.
To avoid this, I always remove one battery head. Then put it back when I want to use the car and reset the radio and the rest all the time. It's frustrating.
Pls what else can I do to stop it finally. The car is 2008 Honda Pilot.
Thanks

I contacted another person who told me that it could be the reading sensor switch. pls any one who has experienced similar thing
