The way I remembered it, it started out gory and dark, and never tapered off. I was an instant fan, and enjoyed every episode from the pilot to the season finale. Okay, I hated "The Fly" episode, and that's all there is to it.

You must have been one of those that started watching it based on the hype, and expected to see the "best show in the world" right off the bat. The problem is from you, and not the show. Reduce your expectations, and[b] give it a chance[/b], and perhaps, you see it what what it is.

it took me a very long time to conclude it (which is unusual). Well, Luis Gustavo came to save the day. It still holds my spot for "best season finale"

Breaking Bad started with a bang. I've watched a lot of shows with slow beginnings, and BB ain't one of those. Thoroughly enjoyed the intensity of the first few episodes, so I find it rather peculiar when folks come out with "the show started slowly" narrative to encourage interested parties... like did we all watch the same episodes, or were there other versions of BB that I wasn't privy to?? The BB that I have watched multiple times didn't start slow, at all.

Piracy may hurt the movie industry, but the streaming industry is a different kind of animal - it's a multi-layered self-sustaining beast.

Furthermore, Netflix has millions of paid subscribers to worry too much. With over 151 million paid subscribers, they will recoup the $90m investment in a couple of days. Typically, Streaming platforms/services/providers gain a lot more than they lose to piracy.

u might as well request the ban of android os which greatly supports third party apps that download all these for free(apps,music and videos).

Concurred. Historically, less episode count makes for a tighter and more rounded script. I've high hopes that Amazon is going to make this show so much better. For instance, I expect the story to get darker, grittier, and perhaps, raunchier? Chrisjen Avasarala is gonna cuss more, as expletives will no longer be censored. The CGI, which has always been stellar, will improve exponentially. Dialogue will also improve. Action scenes will be better choreographed, and will feel more real...

Mehn... I can't wait. Season 4 is gonna rock.

Did you read the books?

Nope, but one thing I can tell you from having played the video games numerous times is this - Geralt of Rivia (the witcher) is a badass.

The show is based loosely on the novels though, which predates the events that happened in the video games.
