vaxx2:Your bolded said goods going for exhibition and not for the markets, does that sound like a trade corridor that your president and ministers have been crying and begging for? 2 Likes |

netpro: Which right channels? People pay up to 700 - 900 thousand Naira for clearance on a vehicle they paid about 800k to buy and ship down? some goods attract demurrage. Shipping also doesn't make sense for goods tat are sourced in countries that are close to our land borders. |

Notatribalist: Why will they come and start any company here... a country where hordes of other companies are running away? the roads are bad, consistent power is almost non-existent, clearing your goods cost almost the cost of purchase and shipping? It'd be better the government fixes these ills at first. if despite the enabling environment, they still refuse to site their production facilities here, then it becomes a matter of economic sabotage and should be fought to a standstill. My main fear is that three to four years is too short a time for anyone to start a company and expect to attain profitability. Whoever risks it to borrow and begin local production of these same banned goods now, the same person may not find the environment so encouraging after this current dispensation ends. 1 Like |

vaxx2:Has the corridor being opened yet? You're making it sound as if it has been created, I'm sure that truck was just heading for the ongoing Lagos trade fair. Ghana has been exhibiting in Nigeria for years yet we shut our borders. After exhibiting and interested in exporting to Nigeria, our seaports and airports are available, land borders remain shut for now. |

Oya Buhari close border against exporting our electricity to other neighbouring countries, if you are serious about closing border ..We don't have electricity in our dear country Nigeria. If other West African countries team up against Nigeria economically, Nigeria will suffer... There are other ways of dealing with smugglers and Boko haram. Just improve security on our borders that all |

docadams: Stop talking nonsense. What contraband did they import. Reread the article slowly. The textile mills are down because the business environment bad for it. Area4Area: Read the article if you want to know details on agreement. If you're not interested in fulfilling agreement just admit your government corrupt liars. You improvishing yourself isnt sending anyone a message. Your domestic companies are threating to leave and FDI still pitifully low compared to previous years. nototribalist: Lol who's suffering you food prices jumped 50%. Nigerian can be a funny bunch. You really showed them by hurting your business. |
