Eartquake1:

England, Nigeria requests for players of DUAL NATIONALITY consent before handing them an open invitation especially when he's playing in a youth team of another country

You don't just assume a player is going to play for you and disgrace yourself by handing him an open invitation
This was how Berti Vogts invited Toto Tamuz without prior engagement and the boy rubbished the country.

You don't expect a player to score when you don't give him the chance. You can't label a player "flop" when you haven't given him a run of games. Play nacho and watch him knack goal like no man business. 2 games 2 goals nor be bean.

Komekn blood pressure don high kikikiki.

So what changed this between this year and last year when he would have been delighted to honor the call up?
Did we kill his father?

but have we not been disgracing ourselves already the way we have been going with these approaches?

naming a player who has honored a call once is not disgraceful to me at all, if he turns it down this time.

This thing is surprising me..they should just invite him wen he has represented another country after playing d warmup game for us... Can we name one example wer this happen without seeking d players consent... Please realise dat d moment he accepted d u_21 callup.. it nullified d warmup game he played for nigeria... Dat means something has changed and u have to talk to d player again b4 inviting him

Did england seek his consent before giving him that invite, knowing fully well that he once trained with us. You seek consent when the said player has played a competitive game or if it's ur first move. U don't seek the consent of a player that has trained with u, whose profile on every reputable website reads Nigerian, before giving him an invite.

What is wrong in consulting him first? Do you know the state of his international passport? Are you sure he even has a Nigerian passport? You have to acertain his readiness before giving him a call. Same courtesy was accorded Ebuehi.

Etebo rues missing Ajayi showdown

Stoke City midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebo, has expressed disappointment on missing out on the opportunity to face his international teammate Semi Ajayi when West Bromich Albion play against Stoke City on Monday in the Championship.

Etebo, who is injured and unable to take part in the fixture, has nothing but respect for Ajayi, but said he would have loved to face him again, having done that twice when the Potters battled his former club, Rotherham United.

“He is always very hard working in training when we are in camp,” Etebo told ESPN.

“I would say that 95 per cent of the time, we are almost always on the same side in training and I can see how much work he is doing.

“The few times that we play against each other, we win almost the same number of interceptions and tackles. So I would say that there is not much difference between us.”

On missing out on the opportunity to face Ajayi, Etebo said.

“I would have loved to play against him this week.

“We played against each other twice when he was at Rotherham and it was a draw. I am disappointed not to be able to face him in his new club.”

“This time, I will be there as a fan supporting my team and I wish him well and hope he has a good game, but I am sure why team will win, so he will go home disappointed with the result but I hope he plays well,” he concluded.

It is right he was consulted first before invitation. It is better a girl turned you down in private than in shoprite in the full public glare.

It was accorded Ebuehi Bkus we never had him in our web prior his switch. U can give a call to a player who has no passport(as long as he's committed to u), then mandate the office responsible to hasten up and provide him with one.

BTW Leon declared two years before he was considered my Keshi, the big boss didnt go about craving his special consent when he was due for a call up

Oga, maybe you don't have information how invitations get sorted.
Let me gist you. Players are notified 1 week or 2 before the invitation list is made public. Durring this little window, players can pull out if there are injured and replacement called up. That is standard practice. A player who has never been capped will be will be first contacted through his club or management to know his readiness.
Sorry to say, but due process was respected in the Eze saga. Only insatiable Nigerians will fault the management of the call up leaving the man at the centre of it all.
The bulk stops at Eze's desk here. You can't blame anyone else except you have contrary evidence.
